2019 Use Up The Stash Challenge

Used up Mane Choice type 4 leaf clover masque. Won't repurchase.

Used up an already nearly empty of NYC Curls I didn't have in my list. About half way through the other bottle I have in my list.

FYI - I found some TGIN butter cream moisturizer and twist and define cream on yellow tag clearance ($7 and $6) at TJ Maxx. I must add they were in communities with a very low POC population. The products in communities with higher POC communities population were still $10.99 at the Maxx. Also picked up some Carol's Daughter Hair Milk ($3) and Shea Moisture Leave In ($5)

Edit: Finished up the Annabelle's Perfect Blends Passionfruit Conditioner today during my washday routine. It was nice but not a repurchase for me.

I used up Verbena & Zero sample shampoos & bought a Cream & Coco Infused Orange Honey Marmalade.

I mixed some castor oil into my jar of blue magic hair grease to make it more manageable. I applied to hair strands (not scalp) before re-braiding and my hair feels nice and soft. I just used a spoon to mix but will try my electric mixer to get a 'whip" texture.

ETA: my whipped shea butter mix is a HUGE hit! Straight butter is too greasy and heavy for my strand but my whipped mix is perfection

I need to experiment with hard-core styling aids to protect my ends between washes / re-braiding.

I keep buying more oils because I have issues so I'm not really going to continue updating my list of oils. I'll cross out any oils I use though. I'm more interested in using up conditioners and leave-ins than anything else.

Used up Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Sulfate-free Shampoo

I'm giving away Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle because it doesn't have enough hold. Even when I use it as a refresher gel, it's a no-go.

Also giving away the As I Am Dry and Itchy Scalp oil. It leaves a residue on my hair.

Used up Aunt Jackies flaxseed gel. Well, I used it up on my sons hair. The gel works great for both our texture. I'll make this his staple gel (until he finally agrees to let me cut his hair).

Purchase and 8oz bottle of Jamaican Mango & Lime, black castor oil for $8.99 in T.J. Max. I need to stay away from their hair care section.

Forgot - used up Qhemet Biologics castor and moringa softening serum. Loved this stuff! Definitely holy grail.

Used up Mane Choice Ancient Egyptian anti-breakage masque and Camille Rose Algeria renewal deep conditioner.

On the hunt for more deep conditioners only two left in my stash.

I used up Bekura Apple & Sorghum and Curls Ecstasy DC.

I purchased Redken Cleansing Cream and a Giovanni Chic Conditioner. The Redken Cleansing Cream is a staple for now and I was completely out of conditioner so the Giovanni Chic won't go in my stash list just yet. I also used up the Mane Choice Oil and replace it with some Black Castor Oil that got from TJMaxx.

I swapped shampoos for conditioner with my coworker. So I do need to add 4 conditioners to my stash. She gave me a Guud, Helene Cholesterol, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle and something else. I'm almost finished with the Guud. I'm a little afraid of the Aussie. I will need to check the ingredients.

I'm currenting rinsing and conditioning my hair every other day so I am rolling through conditioner pretty quickly. The only two products I am using right now are conditioners and oils. Everything else will have to sit right now.

I'm getting rid of the body shop banana shampoo. It was so drying.

I honestly didn't even know they had a shampoo. I've only ever used the mask.

Haven't purchased anything but did finish 2 samples. Making good progress on a leave in. It might make January empties but I'll have to see.
