2019 Vitamin Challenge

Greetings Ladies,
I take my vitamins consistently (doing so has been life changing for me), and I'm a regular lurker of this thread buuut now I want to participate :). My vitamin regimen is largely built on post and recommendations from LHCF. I started my regimen in 2015 and haven't looked back
:bdance:
1.) Your current length and the length you hope the vitamins will help you achieve (or other goal that you wish to achieve). My current length is somewhere around mid-back or maybe a little longer. My short term and ongoing goal is continued growth and healthy hair; my ultimate goal is healthy TB length hair, which I refer to as pocahontas length.
2.) Any of the vitamins or supplements you're using for the health of your hair (or body in general). Daily I take: a multi-vitamin, BioSil, Viviscal, MSM; hyaluronic acid; daily wheatgrass; prescrip Vit D, iron, glucosamine and chondroitin
3.) How long you intend to take the vitamins for. I may make slight adjustments to what I take but plan to continue this reggie indefinitely.

I sort a week's worth of vitamins in snack baggies every Sunday night. To ensure that I take my vitamins daily, I take them to work. The baggie needs to be empty when I go to bed.

Are you noticing any results w the hyaluronic acid?

Are you noticing any results w the hyaluronic acid?

Hi Amerie123, Yes, I am. I added the hyaluronic acid about two months ago; it's a staple now. Two noticeable differences (1) before I started taking it, my knees would hurt a little if I climbed stairs and especially if I moved "the wrong way." The MSM and glucosamine and chondroitin helped tremendously too. Now with the hyaluronic acid, no pain and in a given day, I climb 15-20 sets (at least 10 per set) of stairs AND (2) my skin improved, again :) :).…so happy....clarity and smoothness. Just yesterday, I got a compliment on my skin. I take the vegetarian version and purchased it from Amazon (Jarrow's).

Think I’m going to have to remove the extra biotin. I’ve gotten two pimples in the past two days. Last time I tried high dose biotin for a month it made me break out and I’m still dealing with the repurcussions. Since clearer skin is also one of my goals, I’m going to drop that and see if I can keep these at bay. I get a decent dose in the HSN vitamin anyway.

I stopped the acne in its track literally the following day after stopping biotin, so that is a definitely "no" for me. Other than that, I am still going strong with a HSN, 1000 mg MSM and BioSil.

I’m in!

Current length: Waist length (teasing Hip length). Currently 2.5 years into growing out heat damage down to the root.

Goal length: hip length (or longer) with healthy hair!

Vitamins:
-Trader Joe’s high potency chewable multivitamin and multimineral
- vitamin D: 5000 UI (TJ)
-iron pills (rainbow light minitabs)
- calcium/ zinc / mag pills (TJ)
-water (goal: 64 oz minimum of pure water)

TJ is the place for quality supplements on a budget.

Honorable mentions:
- MSM powder (doctors best) I take this but not daily. I want to get comfortable with taking my other vits first.

Took all my vitamins but “only” 50 oz of H2O yesterday. Drinking 16oz of h20 first thing in the morning to increase my chances of succeeding today.

Man, I have been slacking off. In my defense, everything is liquid and refrigerated so outta sight, out of mind.

I’m gonna get some gummy vitamins today.

My 1st day stumbling came so quickly. :look:Traveling threw off my routine and I left my vitamins. I have a small stash that I keep in my day bag. Hopefully it is enough for a few days.
