Happy Hair Growing!

Another update ladies. I have been so busy with work, kids and renovating our house that I put my health and doctors visits on the sideline. I’ve literally pushed back a few different medical appointments for months. Well I finally did my blood work up in early January (requisition was given me in October) and only today did I get in to get my results. I’m low iron and low hemoglobin. Not just regular low but abnormal low. So my doctor has me on a double dose of prescription iron for three months to help me restore and I can move to single dose after three months if gets much higher.

I’m disappointed in myself because I know I was literally born iron deficient, so of course I should have addressed this sooner and more consistently. My doctor approved my supplement routine but said that my low iron/hemoglobin could be responsible for thin and slow growing hair.

Anyway, I’m going to delay relaxing for two of three months until this is in order but will continue supplement routine of 2 BioSil, 2,000 mg MSM(I’ve increased since last month), HSN vitamin that includes 2,500 mcg of biotin.

Checking in, I missed one day this week but otherwise I have been consistent.

This month it seems that my hair grew almost an inch in February which is crazy to me. I usually grow a bit less than a half an inch average (slowish grower). So I should reach one of my goals of APL by the end of April.
