Just used the cream and oil last night for my twist out and I really love the products! Will probably order 2 more creams and oils before she takes the price up to have in my stash! First off the size of the cream is super GENEROUS I think for $16.99. I've paid more than that and got less than half from other products. This one jar will easily last me 6 months or more.

The product readily dissolved into my hair and I followed with her oil and twisted in about 14 twists. I started on damp hair and sat under the dryer for about 30 minutes. Air dried overnight. This morning my twistout was soft, super defined and lightweight. My normal go to products are Alikay Naturals (leave-in, hair parfait and twist butter) are GOAT for me. But this is a very close 2nd and will probably use this in the summer over the Alikay because those products are heavier. Next week I am going to use it for my wet bun and see how moisturized it keeps my hair. When I use Alikay my bun lasts all week before I need to either M&S again or cleanse so that will be the barometer for Melanin as well. Final verdict is definitely a win for me and I like how it moisturized my 4 year old ds's hair as well!

I added some pics as well, the frizz is my fault as I rushed taking some of the twists out and was a little rough running late this morning.View attachment 444479 View attachment 444477

@Chicoro, now sis you know I don't play about my Queen Shea! Of course all those ingredients contain the Queen. Alikay Naturals hair parfait is all Shea Butter(first ingredient listed) and oils with rosemary extract. I got to busy with work this winter to DIY and found this as an alternative until I can go back to making my own. I have been Shea'd up all winter and now I'm excited because Melanin will be my summer Shea! It has Shea butter(2nd ingredient after water), mango butter, and cocoa butter.

I'm all in on Shea and now I don't have to stop using it when it gets warm!

I ordered the Twist Cream on Tues and arrived Thurs. I immediately moisturized my mini twist with it. It looks heavy but goes on the hair lightly, which I like. After the initial application, my hair appeared ashy but after a while the product soaked into my hair. My hair feels soft, not much shine at all. This morning all my fizz was gone and my hair seems to be laying flatter which I don't mind. I think this product was be awesome for my cornrows under wigs. It almost has no scent, just a faint scent of shea butter which I also liked. I doubt if I would repurchase in the future nor do I think it is something I need to keep in rotation of products I use.

It is great for those minimalists... (not me...)
From the website:

Use it seven different ways! As a pre-poo, a detangler, a conditioner, a deep conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, a styling cream, and to rehydrate your hair throughout the week!

I just ordered the entire line, and I think I'll try a twist-out the first time I try it out.

But have any of you ladies used the twist out elongating cream for a wash n go? How was the hold for you? My go to curling cream is SM CES, so I'm wondering if the Melanin Haircare cream has a soft hold with good curl defining abilities.

Interesting....
I want to hear about how you ladies faired with the Melanin 7in1 conditioner....can it really be used as a deep conditioner AND a leave in?

They are only taking pre-orders now. I ordered two (one for me and one for my sister)

I already have the oil and elongating cream.

Once I receive it. I'll reply back to this thread. I watched her video and it made me excited to try it.

I got my first order of the Leave-in and the oil today, but my twisting cream is coming later :( Luckily, I ordered early so I got a free Felicia Leatherwood comb!...but that's also shipping out later lol

I think I'm going to go ahead and try the conditioner as a deep conditioner (w/oil), leave-in and styler, starting tomorrow. I'll see how it could be used as a detangler (slip wise) but honestly, my hair isn't tangled at all (thank God) so we'll see.

Can't wait to give it a try tomorrow...and I can't wait for my lollipop!:spinning::love5:(I'm greedy, leave me be)
