Hey, can anyone point me in the direction of a color chart or something? I have no idea what the Dark Hazelnut looks like.

I finally twisted my hair up last night and tried it on again. It looked much better  With a nice cut and my taking some time to blend it, I think it would work out nicely. I'm sending mine on to my girl tashboog though since she is the wigstress. She can do wonders with a wig.

If you twisted your leave out in the front with a heavy hold gel, it could blend.

This wig would have been useful when I was doing those 16-24 week relaxer stretches.

I ordered the Urban Bob a couple of months ago, its still sitting on my wig head. It didn't have much of a shape to it and the hair still had a shiny look to it. I noticed they also carry a full wig but I'm not going to give them anymore of my money.

yea from the looks of it, it looks like it would only work for updos and the likes. have you tried shaping it or twisting it up to see if that works or anything?

I don't know what happened to my post. Unless I posted it in the wrong place. I received my wig, tried it on & immediately placed it back in the box. This wig looks nothing like the pictures.

In fact it looks like a costume Bob Marley wig to me. I immediately filed a claim with Paypal. Of course Fingercomber denied my refund request citing their no return policy but I've escalated the claim & asked Paypal to intervene.

Not only does this wig look like a Bob Marley costume piece, the roots are also straight as well. I have concluded that they took a straight hair synthetic wig, twisted it & dipped it in hot water. They didn't even cut the straight ends off after they dipped it!

I'm so disappointed. I stalked their site for weeks waiting on this wig to come back in stock.

Not trying to talk you out of the dispute because I lightweight wish I would have pursued the matter with my Kinky Blow out wig, but I decided to work with it.

All the yt videos I've seen for the fingercomber wig made me believe that it really isn't a ready to wear unit unless you ride hard for that Buckwheat natural look.

If the dispute doesn't go your way, try taking the twists down, washing the unit and re-doing the twists smaller with a leave in conditioner and heavy hold gel. I've also seen it look much better with Bantu knot out.

You're absolutely right about one thing. All she's doing is twisting Marley hair and dipping it in hot water to produce these 'natural' wigs.

You are right. It isn't ready to wear. To get it to look like the website, I had to brush out the twists. And it also needs to be cut and shaped.

I've been wearing my angled bob unit almost daily since Thanksgiving (11 days) and it hangs better and looks more natural every day. I haven't cut it which I thought it needed at first, it's just kinda settled in and frames my face. Now with synthetic wigs, I always experience the part that falls at the nape of my neck getting tangle and getting nappier with wear regardless of texture. This wig is not an exception, but since it's in a kinky style it's not as bothersome as a straight wig. I'm lightweight scared to wash it, but that's going to happen by next weekend. Can't be running around with a funky wig. I have not added any product to it at all, only to my own hair.

As for this janky a-- kinky blow out wig, I'm using some products that don't work on my hair to wet it and use gel to install smedium sized twists. They hold ok because the roots of the wig is a 3c/4a texture, but the ends are yaki textured straight so I'm going to put rollers on the end. I'm going to wait until it dries to see if I can wear it in a twist out style. If the twist out style doesn't hold on it's own, I'm going to dip the wig in hot water to see if that will do something. I really have nothing to lose with this wig because it really is not a wearable style on as shipped.

I dipped it in room temperature water to see if the yaky texture would wave up and nothing happened, but I notice with the leave in conditioner i'm using, the length of the wig is getting a little bit of a wave, not enough to be cute though. Just enough that the twists are not unraveling. I will try to remember to post pictures.

I'm just seeing this thread... I have this wig... First of all... I placed my order on October 18th... This wig did not arrive to my home until November 20th... First problem. Second problem, the wig does not look like it does pictured on the website... I wanted to like this wig... I really did. Ive tried it on up side down, right side down, up side right... It still doesn't look good... smh :ohwell: Ive been so frustrated with that wig I haven't worn it out outside... I guess I should watch some videos on how to cut and style it... Right now it's just collecting dust... Any overall tips on cutting and styling?

I'm glad that I read this thread because I was seriously considering purchasing one of those units. Those units look so good on their website and there is nothing there to indicate that it isn't ready to wear. I don't mind waiting for a wig to be made but the seller has to communicate that. I believe the website says the shipping time at most is 9 days including processing. Even still I can forgive the wait if the product is superior and the way that the hair looks on the website would make it worth it but to read that the units aren't up to par is disappointing.

I ordered the angled bob on 11/22 before reading this thread. I emailed on 12/9 about the status and got a response back that it's still processing. They also sent a separate email detailing the expected shipping times. I'll give them til the end of the year before I file a dispute.

OAN, this youtuber really styles her fingercomber units well. I guess they require a lot of imagination to make work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnE0r4TtUp0

This KBO wig been sitting here twisted for 3days and I been too lazy to put it on perm rods and dip in boiling water. I'm light weight scared cuz all the YouTube tutorials t curl synthetic wigs braid the hair instead of twist. Oh well.

Just ordered the urban bob #2 on. Needing something else. I read and saw some of the reviews so I took a chance. It better not be thin or tangle.

I know this is an old thread. I've been eyeing some Fingercomber units. The reviews are skewed towards negative, but they look soooooo good on the Fingercomber web site and in the Youtube reviews.

Please provide any additional updates with your older units, or reviews on some of the newer units.

Based on my experience with my units and the youtube videos I've seen, you will have to really work with these wigs to make them look like the pictures on the website and it is a crapshoot as far as the wigs being made consistently.

If these wigs were $20-$40, I would say the effort is worth it and would have reordered the angled bob but for $60+, $13 shipping and the headache of dealing with the vendor, nah. I haven't found any dupes for the fingercomber wigs but there are other natural hair styled wigs on wigtypes.com and Elevatestyles.com and Samsbeauty.com for a fraction of the price.

I had a negative experience. The hair used is definitely not premium quality. I tried the Utube advice to twist and curl to reset. Didn't work. My unit looked nice for a week. Took 5 weeks to arrive and only after I said I would file a PayPal claim. The construction on the units is not the best.

Zuri has a new line called Naturali Star that seems better quality for a lower price.

Okay, I'm a lie. After trying a gang of kinky curly wigs, I haven't found anything that could duplicate the angle bob unit so despite the headache I finally broke down and re-ordered that unit plus something called the Sof-Kinx. Last time I ordered in 2013 it took two months and a paypal dispute to get the two wigs. Let's see if things have gotten any better.
