Does Anyone Else Feel Like All Shescentit Products Are The Same?

I’m looking at there new Tahiti line and I’m tempted to buy but then everything I have gotten from them performs the exact same. They all smell the same too to me. I feel like they use the same base for everything and just add in different ingredients to make them “unique”. Don’t get me wrong they work good on my daughters hair. Way better than Shemoisture ( which I hate) and almost anything that you can get in the stores. I do feel like they’re just basic though in the natural hair care community and nothing special. Am I just picky?

Her mask have different ingredients product to product. I get those and her other different products like the scalp detox and the coconut sorbet when she had it

Now leave ins, shampoos and stylers I can't speak to. I do think having a gazillion lines is the thing now and I wish it would stop.

I’m new to SHESCENTIT, so I can’t say much. Of the four products I purchased, two of them I like. I was looking at her new line also. I filled my cart, but I have not purchased yet.

The scents are the same and can be a little nauseating to me.

No I don't feel that way at all.:nono:

But I am a STANs of SSI.

As well as Curl Origin and Sprouted Curlies (the little Sisters of SSI).

If they are all the same, I am thankful for the consistency her line brings.

Maybe that's why I've never had a negative reaction from any of her products in her various lines that I have purchased.

I have favorites that I like and I am glad they ALL get along and play well together.:love2:

Are her gels nice? I need some for my daughter. To make the curls pop and hold them softly in place.

I dont like when companies have multiple lines. It becomes crazy.

I will say that most companies have shea butter, coconut oil and aloe vera high up in the ingredients and that deters me from purchasing from them.

I have never had a deep conditioner from Shescentit after 2015 that didnt perform well. Her cowashes are good. I only buy the Cranberry cocktail year over year. I did like the coconut sorbet for prepooing.

I purchased the new line even with the coconut water because its not that high up in the leave in and sorbet. Im curious to see how it performs from start to finish plus in the summer I wash my hair more so the coconut staying in for long shouldnt bother me too much.

I had to come back and apologize. After going in my stash this morning to start my wash day, I realized I have not used all the products I purchased.
I then smelled the three products I did use.
Okra Reconstructor- light and fruity
Marumallow- light and peachy
Royal Honey- strong and sweet (May have to gift this one away)

The products that I have may be in the same fragrance range, but they are not the same scent. Royal Honey is the only product that gives me a headache so far.

Again I apologize for misspeaking on a brand I was just introduced to.

Again, I like the fact that the products for the most part are non-intrusive.

I never worry if something is going to irritate my scalp, make my hair dry/hard/tangled etc.....

I can open, use and expect consistent results and that the product is going to do what it says.

I don't worry that stuff is going to separate, leak, spill, spoil etc...

Scent-wise, they usually smell good and for the most part, not too overpowering.

For me, their products always seem to consistently work well together and with things from other Vendors.

A lot of them I find have the same texture consistency, but they all don't perform the same to me. If that's the case, then I would like everything I try, which has not been the case.

Her conditioners/deep conditioners are the best of her line IMO
The styling butters, creams are hit/miss.

SSI has a few duplicate products. The Cranberry Cocktail, Coco Cream leave in and I think the papaya leave all have a similar viscosity and preform identically to me. I think she uses the same base for these 3 products. There were are two rinse out conditioners that are twins for me too. I have to look under my bathroom cabinet to get the names. One might be discontinued. My favorite product from her was the Coconut Sorbet.

I like SSI but I’m overwhelmed by how many product lines they have now.

The first thing I do is eliminate the top three ingredients I hate and go from there.

I get exactly what you’re saying though because it seems like everyone is doing it lately. @werenumber2

Why you throwing out lines and subscriptions boxes and limited edition items??? (In general)

What happens if they don’t perform well? You discontinue after awhile? I wonder if Shescentit is trying to go mainstream as far as stores?

I would get the Papaya over the Coco because the coco has coconut cream and Shea butter. The Cranberry would actual be my second choice because it has green tea up high and avocado low but it doesnt seem to bother my hair.

If I had a choice by ingredients, Id get the Papaya, then the Cranberry cocktail and never the Coco Cream leave in.

On my next order, I'll order the Papaya and test it out versus the Cranberry..

I convo'ed them yesterday about my 2nd Order. I think they got slammed this 40% Sale.

They were purchased a day or two from each other. Order #1 came very quickly.

They sent me a response about a "delay" in shipping due to overwhelming sales.

I'm good with that, just send my stuff. I'm not one to dig into stuff when I 1st get it anyway.

But I don't wanna forget I bought it either.

I am waiting for: x2 of the new Cleansing Conditioners.

She does have awesome sales! And
I am planning on opening a natural hair product store in Australia and I would like to have her products in my store, so it’s really great to see everyone’s opinions. I mean they do work... on my daughters hair. They just don’t wow me. That curls and potions your recommended... I loved that right away on her hair. My hair is just difficult and a hot mess... so morning wows me for mine haha.

The shampoos I have not tried but the Leave-ins and deep conditioner all feel the same on my hair, even if they have protein in them. I think the only difference really is the fragrance of ingredients used. Needless to say though, I love their products. My hair behaves and detangles well when I use any of them.

Purchased some things from the new Tahiti Line (an Overnight Mask and a DC'er).

I tried and loved the Overnight Hair Mask.

Also recently purchased the Rice Milk & Argan Mask (b/up) and R/O.
