Yesterday I ended up. Taking down my box braids. The extensions were causing issues for my scalp.

•Last night I shampooed with some diluted Hair Food Manuka honey and apricot shampoo
•Conditioned with a herbal essences HH
•Leave-ins/seal: Camille Rose honey hydrate leave in, mixed with a bit of Shea Butter

Today after work, I’m doing to run my head under the shower water, let it dry to a damp state, and just do my regular twists. Some months ago I was having an issue with twists, but I was doing them too small. 12 twists in total is the sweet spot for me, and the last month or so of me doing them a bit bigger has been a game changer.

After that I’ll just be spraying my scalp with my scalp treatment. Small dab of ACV, and peppermint extract diluted with a bit of water.

It has been hot and humid so I had to cowash midweek (with Camille Rose Caramel Cowash followed up with Shea Moisture 10-n-1 deep conditioner).
This is my third week in these twists and they are looking rough. Fighting the urge to redo them because I am holding out for Aug 2nd. This weekend will be the usual routine but I will redo the front three rows to neaten things up.

I just finished DD's DC & wash process. I'm about to put her hair in some large heavily moisturized bantu knots and a couple if cornrows. It's the perfect hairdo for air drying!
Maybe I'll get to my hair later or nah. Most likely it'll be Sunday morning when the heat is at its lowest.

What I did today:

Shampoo: Acure Clarifying Shampoo
Conditioner: Obia Babassu Detangling Conditioner

Then I twisted my hair with:

Leave-in: KC Knot Today
Styler: KC Seriously Smooth Swift Set - My first time using this, went to buy Curling Custard this morning but bought this instead.
Oil: homemade oil mix of castor, jojoba and argan

Will do a twist out tomorrow.

Left henna mix (85% henna with a little hibiscus and bringhraj powder, plus about 2 tbsp of conditioner to stretch the mix) on my hair for almost 7 hours.
I just washed it out and have some Blue Rose Beauty Strawberry Hibiscus DC in my hair (dug this way out of my stash!).
It'll be too late to do much when I wash this out, so I'll just let my hair dry in big twists (I'll put leave-in DC and a Shea Butter concoction in) and bun it for work tomorrow.

So the weekend routine didn't go as planned because I could not bother to wash my hair yesterday and almost didn't today. But I knew I would be sorry because my scalp needs to be washed once a week or it revolts. A lesson learned is that my hair needs something to set it like a gel so it looks really rough in two weeks.

Also I can't tell if my edges are still thining or growing in. I still see some soft short hairs but the areas look sparse to me. So I applied some sulfur oil to those areas only.

FRI
- Pretreatment
: coconut oil on hair overnight

SUN
- Shampoo
: Camille Rose Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse
- Moisturize: Camille Rose Fresh Curls
- Seal: Coconut oil on length, shea butter on ends
- Style: Redo twists with Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer
