Wednesday:

Used my own hair and did about 20-25 box braids. Took me 6 hours because I actually went and made the most crisp and clean parts I Ossining could while trying to gently separate my hair. I didn’t detangle after I washed so I had a slew of tangles I had to gently get out. Breakage was minimal, thank goodness

Thursday:

Drenched my hair with Pantene Conditioner, and sealed with Almond Oil

Friday:

Plan on applying some of my scalp tonic:

Peppermint oil
Chamomile
Rice water

Saturday and Sunday:

I have full work shifts, so I’ll be keeping my hair and ends tucked away, and might do a GHE treatment. We will see.

Did a quick Shampoo with SM c&s and then DC with TGIN honey miracle mixed with DRC-28 and NPF.

Then got braids. I'm not a fan, they're too small but I paid money for them so here I am for my bday and the next month. Everyone else likes them I guess.

On a happy hair journey
This week has been great for my hair. Sunday, I moisturized and sealed my hair with coconut oil and shea butter while redoing my twists. I did not have to re-moisturize my hair until Friday!
I'm very happy with my routine. With the twists in it's easy to do the same styles I would do if my hair were loose without over-manipulating it. I did change one twist into a braid last weekend to see how it does following the same routine because I'm thinking of trying braids too.

FRI
- Moisturize
: 3 parts water/1 part aloe vera juice spray
- Seal: Coconut oil and shea butter

SAT
-
20 minute scalp massage

SUN
- Shampoo
: Camille Rose Ginger Cleansing Rinse
- Deep Condition: Shea Moisture 10n1 Deep Conditioning Masque for 15 minutes
- Moisturize and Seal: Coconut oil and shea butter
- Air dry stretched twists in braids.
- Retwist any loose twists and the twists along the hairline.

I don't think my scalp likes the Camille Rose shampoo. It feels a bit irritated so this will be the last time I use it.
I notice that my hair tends to stick together when wet so I will let my hair air dry first in a stretched state and then redo any twists that need it.

On Friday, I did the following:

Wash: APB Pink Clay
DC: NaturelleGrow Sweet Greens
Style: Sirod Naturals Rice Milk leave-in, Mielle Pomegranate Curling Custard, CRN Curl Maker

I really like the way the pink clay washed my hair. My hair felt clean and strong. I may continue this, but use it as a second wash.

I saw quite a few broken little hairs, so I’m going to do a protein treatment tomorrow along with a steaming session. I will most likely use the following:

1st wash: Sirod Naturals Coconut Shampoo
2nd wash: APB Pink Clay
Protein: Mizani Kerafuse
DC: SSI Marumallow w/steam
Style: Blowdry, then two-strand flat twist into a bun...hopefully.

I picked up the Sweet Greens. I have only used it twice thus far and I like it. My hair was so soft, like pillow soft. I may have to splurge on a few b/ups.
@keranikki
Oh yeah...I remember now.
You made me buy that one.:catfight:

You should also try Slippery Elm/Marshmallow, Herbal Blends and the Coconut Water one.:look: (No Pusha' here):sekret:

I have Bamboo & Silk but haven't tried it yet.

This wash day was actually the quickest I’ve had in a minute. I’m surprised because I washed my kid’s head, my friend’s head, and mine
We all washed with Ion Hard Water shampoo, they conditioned with one of my APB moisturizing d/c and I mixed Aphogee 2 minute with the APB. I also used my hot head but it was probably for 10-15 minutes cause it was kinda warm in my place. I rinsed it out, T-shirt dried for probably 20 minutes but my hair was still moist so I air dried the rest of the way. Then I moisturized with Oyin Juices and Berries, Melanin Twist Cream, and HBCO. I really need my ends trimmed, but I don’t want to go to a salon and they give me heat damage. I like my hair a little more on the fluffy side.

I never did the two- strand flat twists. I just placed my hair in a bun.
I think I’m going to be a straight haired natural for a while. I will just blowdry my hair once a week, then tuck my ends into a bun. Even though my hair is a little frizzy, due to the humidity, Shea butter is saving lives out here. My ends are softening.
