Relaxer Dilution

What are the best things to add to relaxer to weaken it and what ratio?
I currently use Hawaiian Silky Relaxer in Mild and it gets my hair straight. I want to weaken it further to get a wavy look.

I've used EVOO and/or a cone condish. I like Aussie Moist. ETA: Sorry, I don't measure how much I put in when I used to do it.

When my hair was shorter, I could get it curly by using the relaxer undiluted and rinsing it out almost immediately after applying. Also, have you tried the "mild" formula of your relaxer?

Aka Giveme D’Monee
I use the sensitive scalp version of my relaxer and add two tablespoons of castor oil to my relaxer. I follow the instructions for fine hair, and I don’t use a comb.

I use glove fingers no comb. But I don't leave it for a short time because I'm slow (I don't leave it for too long either). That's why I want to add something to the relaxer to slow it down.

Have you tried smoothing the relaxer with gloved fingers instead of using the back of a comb and maybe leaving it in for less time?

I use Motions lye, mild. I think when my hair was shorter, it was easier to curl up. But now, with the weight of my hair, it won't curl. Maybe that's what's happening with your hair as well? The ladies with long, curly texlaxed hair that I've seen did their virgin relaxer very curly so then it was harder to tell if the new growth was curly as well. Like Prettywitty77's hair on YT when she was texlaxed was WL with a curl pattern. I'll see if I can find some videos for reference.

How curly are you looking to make it?

OK, when you say "wavy" do you mean like BabilonKay?

Or Prettywitty77

Both her and PW77 seem to have naturally curly Type 3 hair and coarse strands. I'm still trying to find someone with Type 4 hair whose texlaxed texture is wavy. My hair is naturally fine strands of cottony 4B with sprinkles of 4A and my texlaxed texture with long hair is more poofy than wavy. I think hair texture may have more to do with the texlaxed outcome than the technique used to texlax. KWIM?

i would put 1/4 cp of oils, con, or both. It would always add up to 1/4 cp though. experiment with great ingredients. Also when applying put it in from the strongest resistance area down to the weakest or most problem. Then smooth with ur fingers and hands until its a lil bit looser than you'd like(the relaxer weighs the hair down.... remember that). No combs or smoothing til straight. there should be wave. just a really loose one. kinda like when bentonite clay is in ur hair.

Thank you for the tip. I will try the 1/4 ratio when I relax next month.
