This will get me through to wash day on Sunday. I'm also redoing DD's braids. So

Saturday: wash DC and moisturize & bantu for some social engagement she has.
Sunday: rebraid for the week. Probably 2 cornrows.

This weekend, I just might water rinse my hair and scalp. My hair is still in these twists and I've been adding moisture and sealing with my Shea butter but I'm mindful that the lower half of my hair might be feeling a little dry by now. My scalp looks and feels great but then I rarely have scalp issues.

Today:
  • Simple Truth Micellar Shampoo
  • The Mane Choice Easy on the Curls Shampoo
  • The Mane Choice Green Tea & Carrot dc
  • The Mane Choice 3-in-1 Conditioner
  • The Mane Choice Cheers GEL-ato
The dc was a no I guess because I didn't need something that was strengthening. Very rough hair afterward.

Messed around and sprayed perfume to close to my head, which, as you guessed, actually got onto my hair and made it way to my scalp. Ya girl’s scalp was HOLLERING up underneath my scarf.

Hauled it to Walmart, dashed through the self-checkout, and straight up snatched my scarf off as soon as I got home and hit my scalp with that 2 piece combo using Pyrithione Zinc shampoo.

Washed twice. Tons of suds, didn’t care. Scalp is mildly still irritated, but much better.

Skipped conditioning

Whipped up some diluted meadow foam and cedar wood oil tonic for my scalp afterwards.

Deep conditioned from ears down using Texture ID

Rinsed and applied CP-1 collagen injection (undiluted)

Leave ins: spray bottle mix -> watered down Texture ID mask, small bit of meadow foam liquid (around a 1 tablespoon). Sealed with Shea and Bacuri Butter blend.

Been a while since I goofed THAT hard.

Interviewing new braid place. I want my hair braided for my vacation but my normal place is too far from my house and I'll be on a tight schedule so can't risk traffic.

Taking down my braids and will do a pre-poo, shampoo, DC and prep for styling with the bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil line.

I was mildly annoyed since being sick this past week caused me to skip my third wash, but I'm planning to get back on track starting tomorrow.

Tonight's Plan
Pre-Poo:
EVCO (w/ plastic cap overnight)

Tomorrow AM
Shampoo:
ORS Creamy Aloe
Detangler: VO5 Moisture Milks Strawberries & Cream
D/C: Joico Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm (w/ plastic cap for 3hrs)
R/O: Aussie Mega Moist Conditioner
(L)iquid: S-Curl
(C)ream: Curls Blueberry Bliss L/I
(O)il: JBCO + EVOO
Heavy Sealant: Blue Magic Coconut Oil
Styler: Ecostyler Olive Oil

The Neutrogena clarifying wash was overkill last week, so I will not be doing that again for a while. My scalp's definitely clean enough from the ORS by itself. It just always throws me off that it isn't stripping (for me, anyway); I've got a love/hate relationship with the "squeaky clean" feeling because while I hate dry, brittle hair (who doesn't lol), I love knowing that I've gotten all of the product out for a fresh start. I'm starting to trust its effectiveness though.

Enjoy your weekends, ladies! ♡

On a happy hair journey
I have been in a sad mood lately and unfortunately have been neglecting my hair this pass week. I think I moisturized my hair once if that. I have a habit of taking things out on my hair when I get really stressed or depressed so it is best that I prepare my hair for wearing my wig this week. Keeping the twists in since they are easy to wash and maintain, will just cornrow them.

SUNDAY
- Scalp treatment: Nizoral shampoo for 10 minutes on scalp and length of hair
- Deep Treatment: Shea Moisture 10 n 1 Deep Masque
- Leave-in Conditioner: Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk
- Sealant: Shea butter on ends of hair
- Air dry

Just rinsed my scalp as planned. I also gave it a light shampoo with Silverlights- I don't like this new formula I picked up from somewhere. It's too runny and initially feels like it's not doing anything. The old one was thicker and I only needed a smidge of product to create suds galore. This is still leaves my soft and not stripped so I guess it's doing its job.

The bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil line has hits and misses.

Pre-poo masque - Meh. Way too expensive and doesn't do the best job of actually helping you detangle. My hair also didn't seem any softer when I rinsed prior to shampoo. I'm going to finish my little jar but never repurchase.

Shampoo - Mild miss. It is gentle and doesn't strip the hair but it also doesn't clean my scalp as well as I'd like.

Conditioner - Now this I could get down with. Easy to spread through the hair, gave great slip, and made detangling a dream. I hate that I only have a sample size so I was semi-rationing it. But I'd buy this again.

Styling primer spray - On the fence. Again, only had a sample size so I didn't use as much as I really wanted. It made my hair soft but not necessarily easier to detangle. But it could be because I didn't spray enough. If I can scam someone into gifting a full size to me, I'll be able to give a better review.

My hair is currently in 2 big French braids. I'm going to interview the new braid place tomorrow.
