I got an amber alert on my phone and looked at the news....
A 16-year-old girl was kidnapped in front of her horrified mother as the two walked down a street in the Bronx late Monday, police said.
Video released by the NYPD on Tuesday shows the moment Karol Sanchez was snatched off the sidewalk by two men, who jumped out of a beige sedan that pulled up just before 11:30 p.m.
The teen and her mother were walking down Eagle Avenue near East 156th Street in Melrose with their umbrellas up at the time, police said.
The duo grabbed the teen and pushed her mom, 36, to the ground as she desperately tried to hold onto the girl, according to police and video.
The men fled in the car, which police said had two other men inside, down East 156th Street.
The victim is approximately 5 feet 5 and 150 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a short dark blue jacket, white sweater, blue jeans and black sneakers.
Police described the suspects as four adult males in their 20s, with “dark complexions” and wearing dark clothing.
