i hadn't either.... i guess thats what happens when you've been protective styling since the 60's
This reminds me of some of my elderly aunties years ago... they almost always had their hair up in buns or braided and pinned under a kerchief. But if you got them at just the right moment, they would take down their hair and ever so briefly accord you a glimpse of a waist or hip length braid, as if they were sharing their biggest secret, only with you.
