Oh I've got a whole slew of 'em...

There's this one...FrenchBraidUpdo.jpg which I'd have to flat-iron for.

This one... hs french braid.jpg so I can get that Tomb Raider look.

This one...hs triple wrap.jpg without all the Princess Di bling.

This one...hs 3 pony loaf braid.jpg minus tiara because it would work with hair as thick as mine.

This one...hs swiss twists2.JPG when I wanna bring the sexy back :yep:.

I could go on and on...

Sad huh for my goal to be such a short length. This is what I wanna be able to achieve when I reach my first goal length. A simple curly bob. Seems a long way when you aren't even chin (or even ear) length yet :yep:. But I'm working on it

How do you achieve this look? What type of rollers and technique is used?

This is my goal too! I'm only 5'1 and i think hair this look would be very flattering. i love big curly healthy hair, even if its short. I really like this! Right now its growing good, but i'm battling dryness and breakage. But hopefully by some time in 08, i can be here!

Gurl what you talking you are so there it ain't even funny. I'm fighting to get to where you are. But I'm not gonna complain patience is a virtue. But that pretty shiny hair of yours is nice. And I feel you in the height/hair length dept. I'm only 5'2 myself

not at ALL sad. . . her hair/ this hair is actually way longer than it looks. I've seen them do these hairstyles on TV a couple of times, and it is like apl or bsl & then they put in really large rollers, and like "swoop" & pin it under, so it just LOOKS short. but if I was able to get my hair to look this, watch out world. . .

lol!!!!!!@ wrangle. . . i immediately pictures a lasso, a boomerang, and a scrunchie:lachen:

with the way my hair puffs out, that's exactly what would be going on. you should have seen that one time i tried to do a french roll updo type thing on my loose natural hair. :nono: bobby pins were flying everywhere. i almost poked my eye out! :lachen:

This is not the exact look I am going to go for, but one of my biggest inspirations at the start of my journey came while watching an episode of Sex and The City. Carrie had these long, loosely braided pigtails. I told my friend that I was going to grow my hair long enough to do that style, and she matter-of-factly told me I would never get that length. She said I could grow my hair, just not that long. She did not say it in a mean way, she was just casually stating a fact. So I plan on making it!
