not at ALL sad. . . her hair/ this hair is actually way longer than it looks. I've seen them do these hairstyles on TV a couple of times, and it is like apl or bsl & then they put in really large rollers, and like "swoop" & pin it under, so it just LOOKS short. but if I was able to get my hair to look this, watch out world. . .

If I had skills, I could probably do it now. But since I don't, I think my hair will have to get a little longer before I can wrangle it into a bun. But you know, I haven't even tried. Also, my cornrows and flat twists suck. :nono:

with the way my hair puffs out, that's exactly what would be going on. you should have seen that one time i tried to do a french roll updo type thing on my loose natural hair. :nono:

bobby pins were flying everywhere. i almost poked my eye out! :lachen:

This is not the exact look I am going to go for, but one of my biggest inspirations at the start of my journey came while watching an episode of Sex and The City. Carrie had these long, loosely braided pigtails. I told my friend that I was going to grow my hair long enough to do that style, and she matter-of-factly told me I would never get that length. She said I could grow my hair, just not that long. She did not say it in a mean way, she was just casually stating a fact. So I plan on making it! :eek:
