I'm still going strong. Bootcamp has been surprisingly easy, I should have done it last year. By the end of this session I'll be ready for a relaxer, so I'm just waiting until then.

I am still hanging in. I think I'll end up doing all 4 sessions. I am still wearing protective styles. I am trying to take it to the next level by taking vitamins every day and to start using a sulfur oil. The only thing that is kicking my butt is that my twist fizz up.

Piece of cake :yep: I'm still washin n' goin' daily, scalp massage nightly, baggying nightly, moisturizing daily, dc'in 3 times a week, no direct heat. I will be using a flatiron pass at the end of my countdown ticker. :)

Keep up the good work ladies!! :D

Still going strong even though it is getting hairder. My new growth is outta control, but I just remembered that I can ponytail rollerset because I'm still not fast at rollersetting my head the normal way! So, I am still protective styling and hoping for BSL.

Things are going great! I have been doing protective styles pretty faithfully and have increased my DC treatments to once a week. I cannot WAIT until waistlength hair is finally MINE!

Wow , I didn't even see this thread when it was first posted. Anyway, things are still going well with my hair too. I have not used any of my passes as yet, still rockin' my wigs and looking forward to bgetting my hair braided within the next 2 weeks or so. I just jumped on the ayurveda bandwagon and having fun with that.

I haven't relaxed my hair since December 13th, 2007 which brings me to 12 weeks post relaxer today. I want to stretch a little longer, perhaps to 6 or 7 months doing the crown & glory method for the next 4 months. I'm not in that challenge so I'll go on the actual C & G website for help with that. I was hoping my henna had already arrived so I can use it before braiding my hair down. I'm gonna wait 1 more week for the henna before I braid my hair down.

In the mean time, I will be washing my hair with ayurveda powders, co-washing and dc-ing every 2 to 3 days and sport my wigs until I'm ready to put in my braids.

Hanging in there. I have been using ayurvdic powders, and MN. Just came out of twist and I will be getting a relaxer tomorrow, after a 17wk stretch. Hopefully I will be close to APL ** cross fingers**

I used a pass just because I had to get a new drivers license photo and wanted it straight that day. I got my natural blown out, the next morning i took a comparison shot.
Its going great, Working out is easier and I am learning so much about my hair

I used a pass last month but only to check where I currently was after my corrective relaxer. I don't plan on using heat again until my bday May 7. Next relaxer will be in August. Hair is a little dry but I read it could be because of the protein in Infusium so I'm gonna chill out on that. I'll start oil rinsing again once a week with some castor oil. I'm have an issue with the dryness but alot of my products are protein so I'll chill on all of them. My goal for this month is to find the perfect moisturizer!

Okay, so I didn't use a heat pass, but boy did that cute *** afro wreak havoc on my strands! It all started as a finger-combed braidout so I could get it redone that night before going out of town. Due to time constraints, I had to wear it like that to work. The response was off the chain! I can't recall getting a response like that ever from a hairdo. I get compliments on various dos but it was like on a whole other level so I wore it for a week. Felt sexy, hot and all that because that is what was being said everywhere. Brothers hardly ever compliment my hair and they were all like, "I like the natural look." Even one dude who a week ago was sweatin' an Asian in my face.

Too much manipulation and I think it caused me to lose length because I saw way too many broken hairs on a daily basis. Besides, two hours a day is too much work and every time I braided my hair for the night and undid it the next morning, more broken hairs. :cry2:

So, no mo fro for me, even though I had several requests to keep it like that from now on. Can't do it. Cuz (love you, MsPortugal) hooked a sister up with some fierce cornrows this evening! Ones that aren't too tight and will let my bald spot in the middle of my crown and the one to the right of my peacock grow back.

Actually, I will do the finger-combed braidout every two weeks. I can handle that for a day, but just so I can do my dc and other 'treatments' (can a sista find a natural straightener that WORKS for my 4a tresses?!) in preparation for braiding it back up.

Come on Boundless Tresses (began today) let's increase my half inch to an inch so I can have bsl (okay, top of) by my birthday at the end of summer!

HHG ladies!

I'll probably use my heat pass this evening...that's only if my rollersetting skills suck and I decide to let my hair out. I'm hiding it from myself because I have the urge to trim/cut. :ohwell: But, it's actually easier to air dry considering all I wear is a bun. :perplexed

well, things are going. i have received some growth. however, my hair is starting to get very dry and brittle. i'm all natural and haven't used heat since jul '07. i live in a place with extremely hard water. i pre-poo, oil rinse, poo, and dc once a week and con-wash 3 times a week. also, i rinse with a mix of acv and water after every time i wet my hair. heard that it's suppose to soften the hair. i rarely comb or brush; i finger comb. my protective styles are wigs and braids. so i'm not understanding why my hair is getting this way. i only have a lil' over an inch of hair and trying to retain that. what am i doing wrong? please help!!!

you heffas betta get ready cuz I'm about to show out! I have about 3 inches of new growth and I ain't relaxin for anotha 4 weeks. I will do an update on April 1st. I've been havin a ball co-washing and staying away from direct heat. The result so far has been less breakage and thicker, healthier hair.:yep:

Stay tuned...

I HEARD THAT. LET ME HOLD ON FOR THIS ONE.

I think things are going pretty well so far. I am sticking with my protective styles, but it is getting warmer and I am really tempted to wear my hair out everyday. I've done it this week, but it has be getting tangled up. I am thinking about doing henna this weekend, not really sure. I've done it twice so far, but have yet to see any real change in color.
