I have some conditioner on my hair right now and I plan to sleep with it in and wash it out in the morning. Also my hair has been really dry lately so I've just been putting conditioner on it during the day and just going and it doesn't feel so dry when I do that.

^^^that's my very dry hair :nono:

&my hair with some conditioner on it.

Can someone recommend a good moisturizer, I need that plus more for my hair:ohwell:

I think alot of people around here do that. In fact, there have been a couple threads in the last month, I think, talking about that.

I generally leave regular conditioner (Oyin Honey Hemp) on my hair all night and then take my cap off in the morning and go, without rinsing it out. And when I have a weave I moisturize my hair with the same conditioner mixed with water. It moisturizes my hair and I've found no need for a traditional leave-in.

I use regular conditioner to moisturize everyday. I never use traditional leave ins. I just do my conditioner wash, let my hair airdry and then slap some Garnier conditioner in it and braid for my braidout styles.

As long as you are using a MOISTURIZING conditioner and not a protein coditioner, you should be ok leaving it in. Unless, of course, your hair loves protein...most people's don't.

I actually use a conditioner as my daily moisturizer - TIGI Moisture Maniac

Nope, nothing wrong with it at all, I do it all the time, but you do want to shy away from using protein conditioners as leave ins b/c too much protein can make your hair hard.

Thanks everyone
I am using a protein conditioner, so since I plan on doing this often I'm going to switch to a conditioner with no protein.

MEKI...I love your hair.

In any case there was athread concerning this issue some weeks ago. Ppl seem to be using reg conditioner as leave-ins. (a little of it anyway).

I use Elucence. It doubles as a condish/leave-in.

My hair doesn't have any problems with it....as long as it's not that Garnier Frutis stuff...that stuff and my hair just don't get along. lol

Was this a good idea??-> I tried Aussie Moist Shampoo and Condish this morning after doing my PT (physical training). I washed once with the poo then I put in the condish and left it in and I threw on a satin wave cap thingy then a stocking cap to secure the satin cap better and then I tossed on my full wig after swiching that in some Suave Clarifying Poo and rolling it up in a towel to dry it safely...The wig was still pretty damp but I didn't mind b/c I need as much moisture up here as I can get. I also wear a hat outside b/c of my uniform so I can consider it extra protection from the harsh Alaskan winds and cold. I plan to rinse the condish out tonight....I hope it comes out well mositurized...I like the thought of inexpensive products working wonders. :)

UPDATE!
I tried the Aussie Moist AND the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, no miracles yet...sigh....I really wanted to like them. My hair felt like it was gonna be promising when I first put it on but my hair is always better to the touch when wet, but how my hair is when it's dry is the test to pass. I guess I'll push those to the back and work on my Nexxus Moisture sample sized condish bottle (which was $5) next. I am almost afraid t have it work cause then I will be spending a pretty penny for hair stuff then. :(

A lot of people think leaving a rinse out con is bad but I personally think it depends and what your hair likes and listening to your hair.

My hair loves he hh as a leave in and got me to tlb. My short cut likes it too. So it's up to you ^_^
