Who has cut from brastrap to bob length and why?

I'm curious to see how many other ladies here, like me, do not feel longer hair is for them. I have made it to waist length once and bra strap twice and I always seem to cut my hair back to my shoulders where I think it looks best. Anyone else not like their hair after it gets too long?

I did that once when I was 16. I wanted to try it out and look like Salt -N-Pepa =) My parents were LIVID! I will not do that again.

I did it once when I was young too and never got back to bsl again. One setback after another *sigh

I've done it a few times in the past, just to change things up or because my hair looks thicker shorter (but less flattering). I've cut my hair from long to well above my collar before, just cause I wanted to rock a shorter 'do. My most recent chop was last summer, from a little past BSL to shoulder. I had to cut that time because of damage, but it was no biggie because I put hair health way before length. I'm back to just shy of BSL now and don't think I'll be cutting again unless it becomes damaged.

I always say "it's hair--it grows back," and if I'm really feeling a change, I just make it.

I believe Candiel cut hers from BSL to a bob (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). And it is pretty both long and short :yep:

I cut from MBL to just above shoulder when I was transitioning. I just got sick of all that hair and thought it would be easier to transition without it.

I cut my hair from BSL straight to shorter than bob-length for a change, less work in dealing with so much hair, and some damage from straightening and dyeing.

I recently cut from bsl to a length that is longer than apl but shorter than bsl and I like it. I know that it can and will gro back should I decide to go longer.

I recently cut from BSL to APL because of damaged ends. I thought I'd go thru withdrawal, but I actually like my hair this length.

I used to be a serial hacker LOL. Honestly I love the look of short hair. I have always been able to achieve at least APL length without much effort so I felt no way about chopping it off.

However now that I an older I prefer the look of long hair on myself. I am shooting for MBL-WL.

Thanks for replying ladies. With me I think I look better with shorter hair. Everyone seems to think that as well. When my hair is longer my face looks drawn down...kinda hard to explain...with shorter hair my face automatically looks younger....weird huh? plus I love the bounce of my shorter hair. I can still wear ponytails and braidouts and if I wanted it back long,my hair would be back to bra-strap length in 6 months but I doubt I'll be growing it out again but who knows :)

I did it back in April - BSL to SL length in layers. I cut it because I had breakage on my right side and it was severely uneven. To even things out I had to do layers - now I trying to grow to one length - so eventually I'll be cutting again to achieve that goal.

BTW, I love your hair - so shiny.

I've done this a few times and am considering it once again. I like the change every now and then, and it always grows back. As long as my hair is healthy, the length is not overly important to me.
