If you ordered with your debit card, call your bank and put in a claim for the merchandise. :)
You will for sure get your money back

Knock on homegirl's door and get your package from her, tell her you have the fedx people comeing back to verify where they left it, and if it turns out she took it, the that's tampering with mail (Federal offense):lachen:. Scare her into returning your package!

Does she have a roomate that you can ask about the box? You can always pray that it'll make her hair fall out. Or throw eggs at her door. Or leave a dead fish at her door. Or get a hair bottle and fill it with vingar and sumac and 100% sulfur.

wow I'm kinda mean...

it sounds to me that the owners of OCT do not have a clear sense of what their responsiblity as a business owner is to their customers. i really resent businesses that want the benefits of being in business, but the liabitlies the hell with those. let that be someone else's problem. OP, your contract is with OCT. you did not hire fed ex. think about it, they could have hired any number of companies to deliver this package. they chose fed ex. think about it this way, if they had an employee that took your bottle and gave it to the wrong customer after charging you for it, who would you be talking to... the employee? or the company? who did you buy the product from? make sense? just because fed ex is an outside company does not mean that they wasnt not working for OCT. they were, and so they are right to tell you to deal with OCT for your refund. OCT will deal with fed ex. when fed ex refunds this - they will not cut a check to you they will cut it to OCT. so when you call the BBB it should be on OCT. now if fed ex does not make good, then OCT would call on them, because essentially they hired them(think employee) to do a job and they did it wrong. they gave the product to the wrong person.
now, not to be sooo hard on OCT, not sure how long they have been in business, or how many of these situations they have encountered, perhaps this is a learning experience for them... but they NEED to get it fast and make sure that their customers GET what they pay for. otherwise, what kind of business are they running? where else are they taking shortcuts? i dont like the sound of not having a secure site. in this day and time thats just plain dumb and irresponsible, and you know what, another sign that this company is not looking out for their customers! not good.

Yep, same here. I'm disgusted with the way they way in which they are dealing, or rather not dealing with this issue.

i just called wachovia and they said they'll refund the money and they'll send me something in the mail in 3-5 business days, i have to respond to that.

i just checked my acct and they refunded me the money, it's processing so I guess they're gonna contact the company first before it's complete. I'm happy about that but I'm still dissatisfied, so I'm in the process of reporting them to the BBB right now. I had to fill out on the info b/c they weren't on there. But its in San Diego. So if anyone wants to join me in reporting them that's the city that'll take care of it. I'm also going to write them an email letting them KNO that i've reported them and that i am not happy in the LEAST about how I was treated as a customer.

I ordered a product from this company and was told that I will receive it on the 1st of November. I never did. I contacted FEDex and told them about it and they informed the that the decision as to whether or not I receive my money back lied with the OvationHair company. I contacted them but they seemed reluctant to help me, and were giving me the runaround. As a business my contract is with them, not FEDex so it is up to them to give me my money back. They are refusing to do so and are playing the blame game. Also their site is not a secure site. I am very disappointed with this company, as in they have a great product but their customer service is horrible. I have been made aware of quite a few others who are having the same issues with this company.

this is what i wrote to the BBB any one think i should add anything else before i send it?

sounds good OP - good work! between having the credit card charges challenged and the BBB that should get their attention for sure. i think it is important that we send a strong message to businesses where we spend out money that we will hold them accountable for a high level of service. I absolutely do! and in this case, being sure that the product that was purchased was actually received is just basic service. i just looked at their site - $56 dollars for an 8 ounce bottle? they're customer service should be absolutely great! i know you guys know that what ever is in that bottle, even if it does work does not cost $56 dollars to produce. they can afford to provide top notch service.

thank you, lol. my thoughts precisely. I just sent an email to them too letting them know that i reported them and that quite a few ppl are having problems with their service and their site. and that i do not appreciate the way I've been treated.

I just want to thank you and all the of the ladies that responded. If it weren't for you guys being so outraged with/and for me, i might've just been silently angry but would have repurchased the product and hoped the claim went in my favor in 30-40 days so that i'd get my money back. I didn't even think of going to the BBB or calling the bank to dispute the claim. thank you so much ladies.
also, all of your stories of how OCT and FEDex screwed you over as well helped re-energize me.

here's the info just in case anyone wants to join me in reporting them.

mmmm... =/ well since no one is currently paying attn to me :lachen: i'm just gonna send it as is.

Honestly the BBB is useless and won't do anything anyway....BUT let me tell you, when Ovation gets that letter from BBB they're going to **** their pants! I always contact the BBB and get an answer immediately from the company messing with me. I'm sure they'll all of a sudden send you a letter of apology.

I'm so glad your credit card company is refunding your money. Ovation should be ashamed of themselves. They should automatically add that $2 insurance charge to all orders.

yea, i know the BBB can't really do anything but i'm hoping this will get a response from them. plus i know before i spent my money on things i was unsure about i always went to the BBB first and see if they had any complaints. Idk when or why i stopped doing that :perplexed but im sure they know that having complaints against them can't be good for their image. esp since they're fairly new

and im glad im getting my money back. but im disappointed b/c i REALLY wanted that OCT .

The BBB doesn't do anything, but for some reason when a company sees a letter from them they panic. Nobody wants a bad reputation.

Can you re-order it with a different card, buy the insurance and have it sent to your office? I always have everything sent there because the mailroom has to sign in for it.

i'm just a poor college student i dont have an office for them to send it to. but i won't be ordering from them again. i don't appreciate the way i've been treated and even though i'm sure this is a great product i am also sure this isn't a great company. i won't be giving them any more of my money. mega tek and MTG works just fine for me. so i'll continue ordering from them.

ETA but i have learned my lesson. everything from now on will be signed.

i think it is important that we UNDERSTAND that the businesses we choose to support with our money(even if we really want to product) that we are choosing to support whatever they stand for. this is important, as an individual, as a community and as a country, that we understand this, and begin to hold businesses to a standard. why? because if we dont then they can treat us anyway they want and we would spend our money with them anyway. why should they respect us? why should they care what we think? runaway, you are absolutely right not to give them a dime of your money. I wont either!! if we dont STAND for something, then we will FALL for anything...... think about it.

:whyme::censored::angry2: GOD!!! talk about giving someone the runaround!!! ok. i called FEDex today and they basically said they'd have to start a claim and there's nothing they can do. they also said that its up to OCT as to whether or not they'll give me the money back. I told them they said OCT said it was up to FEDex, FEDex says no. they'll open a claim and it'll take 4-5 business days and thats when OCT will tell them whether or not to give me the money back and then they'll do so. puzzled, i call OCT and ask them about this b/c everything they said conflicted w. what OCT said when i talked to them yesterday. OCT said it will take 30-45 days. the 4-5 days they're talking about are the "tracer days" where the FEDex guy will have to physically come to the site where he left it and say "this is where i left it" which is what i got from talking to someone from FEDex yesterday, she told me that the driver will have to come back and verify where he left it. talking to someone today they told me that the driver can't go to every single location. I told them that it's not possible for a driver to give all these locations to the wrong ppl can they?! she said in a week they get alot of calls of stolen packages. I told her thats all fine and dandy but its not just that someone stole it but they left it in the wrong place so basically its them that stole from me. thats when she asked me if i wanted to speak for someone else:rolleyes:

this other person basically just kept pushing the claim on me but i didn't want it to go down that easy. I told them I paid for a service, i paid for them to give me my package and they didn't do so. when i told her that i talked to someone yesterday and they said the driver will come out and verify where he left it thats when she said she'll call that location specifically and see if they know something she doesn't. she told me she'd call me back :pinocchio: i cant remember how many times i've heard that from them. but i did get her contact info.

so basically i'm getting the runaround. someone's lying but i don't know who.
FEDex is saying a claim will only last 3-5 days, OCT says it will be 30-45.

FEDex says the decision of whether or not i get my money back lies with OCT, OCT says the decision of whether or not i get my money back lies with FEDex

oh lord help me!! :crybaby: i just wanted long hair :reddancer::sad:

this is some BS ...First of all let me say I can't stand FEDEX...One time those idiots took a job offer sent to me to the wrong address on another street... I believe that FEDEX is at fault....if they had delivered the package to the correct address, all of this would not be happening....Fedex should have sent the driver back out there right away to verify where he left the package, and the driver should have knocked on the girls door and got your package...I bet you she would have given it up then...It is his job to deliver your package to YOU! They had no right to make you wait a whole weekend to even get a call back...that driver should have been sent back rignt away...and as for that :censored: she has something coming to her....one day a package of hers will be stolen the same way... and it will be something way more important than conditioner too....people must not know that what goes around comes around....she is downright trifling....I can't stand people like that...

After reading this, I contacted DC Labs via e-mail regarding an order I recently placed. I told them I had heard a lot of negative comments regarding people not receiving their packages and asked if I could add the $2 insurance before they shipped it. They never replied; however, when the package arrived I had to sign for it unlike the first time I ordered from them. So my assumption is that they added the insurance for free, since I have not received anything from them stating that I owe anything.
