This girl crochet braids are the bomb in the link below! I've been looking in my area for Freetress bulk water wave hair! I can't find it . So, I was wondering if you ladies knew of a beauty supply that carried it?

Please help a sista out! This will be my D.C low maintance hair style for the week of the inauguration. TIA!

Wow! I remember thinking I was going to do these when I learned how to cornrow. I semi know how to cornrow and still haven't done this yet. I am encouraged now though.

I don't know how to cornrow at all!!!!

I would have to get that done, then do the latchhook thing.........

There is this beauty supply store that is one block up from the intersection of crenshaw and west I believe. It's like a swapmeet. I went there to get some freetress hair, but mine was straight and they had all different kinds of hair. Let me see if I can find the number...and I'll post it.

ETA: Wow..I couldn't help. I got that hair soo many years ago I think I even have the address wrong.

Product Junkies' Paradise in Los Angeles!

For those of you that just can't find everything you want in one store, I highly recommend C & J Beauty Supply located at 1029 West Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard (on the northwest corner of King Boulevard and Vermont Avenue in the same retail strip center as Carl's Jr.).

Don't let the outside of this store fool you. If you were to drive by it, you would think it was small like the one across the street, but this is a product junkies' paradise! You will be shocked when you walk in! This store is the biggest beauty supply store in Los Angeles and is reasonably priced! I've never seen such a large selection of full line hair care products in addition to wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling weaves, hair extensions, wigs, and hair accessories before in my life! I wonder if the store owner thinks that every African American woman in Los Angeles is bald.

Give yourself plenty of time to shop, because if you're like me . . . you will want to check out every aisle. Every now and then when I'm in south Los Angeles, I stop by there just in case I missed something new.
