Girl, this is the finished do! But I will separate them, maybe tomorrow. When I do that, though, most of the curl will go.

You better stop! :giggle: Is this a new millennium thing? :lachen: I swear I remember the look of rollers having just been removed not being considered a do (Hence the reason I wanted to do this woman's hair on the bus coz it looked like she forgot to comb her hair after taking curlers out.) It is for that reason that I hated the results I got from Curlformers because I considered the do half done. But much as I tried to separate the curls, I couldn't without getting frizzy unshaped hair. :wallbash: So I went to work looking like I'd forgotten to comb my hair. :lachen:

Hated that tubal look so! Haven't used them again. But I'm not taking them back. I'ma find a way to get the spirals that Queen_T gets even if it kills me. :wallbash: Never mind that she's relaxed and I'm not. :p

And that's exactly why I'm leaving them. There's no way I would have put all these rollers in if all I wanted was a stretched fro. Folks on the bus gonna have to deal. They are pretty bouncy as is, though, so they are not really tight curls, if that makes sense. I will separate, but keeping it in the curls gives me at least a day or two extra for all this work. I went directly from twists after a wash, taking down each twist, detangling, and putting a roller in. It took near 3 hours! Plus time to dry. Shhhoooo, they staying, at least for a couple days. It's not New Millineum, it's a throwback to Shirley Temple days *wink*

I'll post pics after separating, though.

You did a great job!!!

When I take out my rollerset sometimes I just use my fingers to detangle and give it a little bounce. Your hair looks beautiful.

OMG are u thinking of relaxing? I just look at your pic which took me to your fotki. Although I think you should do what is best for you ; you are one of the natural heads who's hair i love. I don't have to manage it though so even though I think it's thick and beautiful it might be too much work and time consuming for you and you might not be pulling off the styles you want. In the end do what makes you happy. But i really love your natural hair.

Hi Mwedzi (hair twin)
I'm all late in the thread! LOL
I like it. I'd pull them apart just a little and rock it poofie!
If you try it again Maybe oil the hair a bit more and pull more tension as you're setting it. Or maybe try it with some lottabody setting lotion.

Okay, someone requested I put pictures for each day of the set. I'm taking 10 second vids each day to let you all know how it's progressing and I will put the links in the first post each day. But here's Day 2

:notworthy I love it Mwedzi! I even love the "unfinished do" once I saw it live. Those pics don't do you justice. You look beautiful in both pics and vid but the vid made me grin like it was on my head coz it's so much prettier "in person". I loved the finished do too.

But I think I hate you now. Damn you!

I'm looking at the Greta Garbo's movie Camille on Turner Classic movies(TCM) right now and your roller set looks like her hairstyle in the movie.

Thanks, Nonie! I know folks were not feeling the unseparated curls, but they really do look better in person because they have a lot of bounce and movement.

Don't hate me! Even with the roller setting semi-success I'm still thinking of relaxing. :ohwell:

I think it would look good if you pull the curls out a little.
I love my natural rollersets! Just make sure you get the roller all the way down to the root and its nice and taunt.

Your hair is really holding up. I really like this style on you. I love your hair anyway. I think the more you do the rollersets the better you are going to get. I am very impressed

The movie was really good, it's my first time seeing a Greta Garbo film. The minute I saw her hairstyle, I started cracking up and I thought about your roller set. Her hair was really pretty in the movie. The story line was set in the late 1840's in France.
