In my never ending search for the perfect moisturizer,I ordered this over two weeks ago ( yes there is a 2 week wait for shipping). I have been using it for a few days now.

Ladies who use and love the products I have questions. After 2 uses, I was ready to toss it. My hair felt dry and crispy overnight. I admit I did not seal, because it was so thick that it looks like nothing was need to seal. Then I decided to seal with Almond oil. I must admit my hair is loving it.

I want to order the burdock root. Please give me some reviews, good or bad. Are you sealing with oils? What are you overall experiences with these product?

I love the Amla and Olive Heavy Creme. It is best used on wet hair since it is oil based. I use it to seal after I cowash my hair, sometimes over a leave in. On dry hair I would imagine that it would be too greasy.

It was not greasy after. My hair absorbed it and became crispy dry. When I seal with oil its great.

For one of the products (can't remember which) the website says that a certain percentage of users report crisp hair if used on dry hair -- so they suggest using on wet hair. Maybe it jsut depends. I was thinking of ordering for my God daughters.

Someone gave me the Amla and Olive on this board (thank youuuu). When I researched it, I read that it's ideal for cold winter months and the Burdock is more ideal for the warmer months (because it's not as heavy).

I use the Amla even though it's April without sealing, paying attention to the ends and massaging my scalp with whatever is left on my fingers. Then I put on my silk and go to bed. I've had no experience with crispness in the morning. When I need to slick my edges down, I dab a few dots on my edges and follow with a few dots of aloe vera gel. Works like a charm! A little goes a loooong way and whenever I run out, I may consider purchasing the Burdock.

I prefer Burdock Root...works better for my fine relaxed hair. I like the Amla and Heavy Cream only when I was in braids.

Thank you. I have fine hair but it gets dry quickly. I think I will order the burdock root as well. I like the fact their products are not heavy on perfumes.

I love this on dry hair, you have to use it in small amounts. I use it on my 2 1/2 yr old sons hair when I do two-strand twists and I have to remoisturize every 3-4 days with the amla and olive heavy cream, I also seal with coconut oil or the olive and honey heavy balm. I use it on my transitioning hair when I do braidouts or twist'n'curls it leaves my hair super soft and very moisturized. I also have the burdockroot cream but I gave it to my little neice she has 2c-3a hair and it moistens and softens her hair for 2-3 days before she has to use it again. in my opinion both products are amazing and I would recommend that anyone at least try the sample size to see if you like it.

the burdock is lighter than the amla. i think u will have a better outcome using the burdock on dry hair if the amla is making it crispy. i too have fine hair and i use the burdock on dry hair.....and amla on wet hair.

the amla on wet hair is the best thing EVER. it pops my waves on the edges like no other product

Makes total sense b/c whenever I used it on my daughter's hair (daily, dry) her hair felt awful.

I thought I was the only one not having a good time with QB heavy cream (and the sidr butter). It makes my hair dry and crispy as well. The ONLY thing I am using now that makes my hair feel soft and smooth is gro aut oil. I may give the Qb products another try on damp hair before I decide to give them away.

This might be my go-to moisturizer. I've only been using it on damp hair as a leave-in to do my rollersets and hair isnt greasy.

Tried it on dry hair last night and it felt greasy and weighed down.

Faith, I hope you're not using the Sidr Tree, that went out of production almost 2 years ago. :ohwell:

Hi Tamrin. I personally use the Amla & Olive Heavy Cream on dry hair and I'm a 4A/B natural. Others with both natural and relaxed hair get the best results when they use it on wet or damp hair. Some peoples hair just absorbs certain types of emulsions better when its wet, others when its damp or dry so you'll need to experiment. :)

The first ingredient is castor oil so it's very rich. Start off using just a tiny amount.

I can be reached here through PM for those who need suggestions on how to use the products.

HTH. :)
