Anybody use Frederick Fekkai products?

Oh yesss I've got a few FF products!

I've got the Shea Butter conditioner, which smells beautiful, but performance wise it's just okay, not sure whether I would repurchase, it's a bit too pricey for the product it is - it is not a deep conditioner.

The Glossing Creme is beautiful, the shine I get whenever I use it is on point, and I've received quite a few compliments because of it!

The best of the lot is the Rx Protein Treatment, which is wonderful. It leaves the soft and silky but strong. A definite staple.

Hi CT,
The Protein Rx. On a rating of 1-10 with protein intensity, what would you give it?

For example, I would consider Aphogee Treatment (where you let it dry to animal protein then rinse it off) a 10. I would consider Humectress a =n 8.5/9, and I would consider a V05 Co-Wash a 1.

:)

Thoughts?

Also, how do you apply?

TIA.

I love their protein rx mask and the instant detangler. The shea butter collection was disappointing :(.

Hi there,
Can you elaborate more on what you like about the Protein, and how heavy/light it is, also frequency of use?

I have heard a number of disappointed reviews about the Shea Butter... I doubt I will purchase.

I would consider it an 8.

It is made up of milk and soy proteins, so it's not as strong as the Aphogee, but it is still very effective.

After using, my hair feels strengthened but at the same time softer. My hair feels so good to touch after using it.

It's a very dense and rich product so you don't need to use too much. I make sure that I concentrate on my troublesome areas (hairline, crown etc) and of course my ends, and distribute evenly to the rest of the hair. I don't think there's much point in using too much as you'll just end up wasting product.

I pad mine out by alternating it with my Aphogee 2 minute; so I use my F/Fekkai fortnightly. It's working out well at the moment and I'm pleased with the results so far. :yep:

Thanks! Soft strong hair is always a plus. I've always wondered if this prodcuts was a heavy or light protein. My hair hasn't been calling for a heavier protein lately, but I will keep this in mind should the need arise and I am in search of something different to try.

:wallbash:I hate to hear that. And I have a Large Tube of the Shea Butter Mask.:ohwell: However, I will use it with my Steamer:lick: Everything gets kicked up another notch or two when you put Steam to it. Or at the very least, my Heat Cap. IMO, it takes Product to the next level.

Glossing cream is the ISH after flatironing!! Soft, silky SHINY hair, and it helps repel humidity like nobody's business.

Do you think you'll try? I also purchased the Shea Butter Mask from L'Occtaine. Have you ever used any L'Occtaine Hair Products?

i'd try the frederick fekkai, cause i can return it at sephora if i hate it! L'occitane...maybe...cause their products are super expensive for a little bit of product.

Okay: I Steamed tonight with my FF Shea Butter Mask. I actually liked it. I thought I was going to be sorta disappointed, since quite a few of the ladies here said it was just -- a'right. But it was actually very nice.

However, I don't know if it was the Combination of the Product + The Steamer? Not sure.:perplexed

Because it seems like the Steamer takes the Product to A Whole Other Level, so it's very hard to say.:look: Every Conditioner I thought I "loved,":love2: I LOVE IT EVEN MORE WITH MY STEAMER.:cloud9:

Still have not got around to use the Glossing Creme. But will soon. But for the most part, thought the Shea Butter was nice:yep:

Now, I'll have to compare it with the L'Occtaine Shea Butter Masque whenever I get around to using it.:ohwell:

Hmmm, now I only have the standard conditioner, maybe that's why I wasn't so impressed, but the mask... hmmm, I've not tried that...

Application: How I Apply Glossing Treatments
I first ensure my hair has been in its healthiest condition for a consistent duration before I do any treatment: no splits, clean even ends, not over/under moisture protein, stressed parts, scalp irritation, shedding, breakage, etc. etc.

Once this is confirmed, I take the following steps to provide a self-administered "glossing" treatment:

 Wash hair usually night before I go to sleep. Wrap head in towel to soak excess moisture. Apply deep conditioner.
 Deep condition hair over night.
 In morning, rinse conditioner out of hair. Hair is clean, freshly washed, and well conditioned.
 Drape towel over head. Don't rub or twist. Keep on head while I prep skin for face mask, by the time i am done towel soaks up excess moisture for more product to be absorbed in strands.
 Apply gloss treatment to length of hair. I apply TONS of product, and wrap head very tightly with saran wrap.
 Apply plastic conditioning cap (just because) and sit under dryer for about 30 minutes. I have the heat on my Pibbs up as hot as I can stand it.
 Shower as usual, rinsing gloss treatment, mask and scrubbing back last.
 Style hair as desired.

Other things to note.

I have samples of FF that I have not used. I used Graham Webb High-Gloss Rinse for many years, but I recently switched to Sebastian Cellophanes Colour Shine in Clear, which provides results that last for weeks.

I have also applied directly after self-relaxing w/Phytospecific Index I, when the hair is more porous and the product will penetrate and seal better. I had excellent results. If other users have experience with doing a rinse while relaxing, please advise, this topic interests me.

Ooohhhh. I have to try this process. Sound like it's wonderful. I love FF Glossing Creme.

OMG ! Recently I Purchased the Frederic Fekkai Glossing Creme on a Recommendation from My Hair Sis Cream Tee -- Big Shout Out to Tee! :bouncegre This Product is Awesome!

I love the weight of it, the smell and the overall performance. I am so glad she told me about this product.

It will Mos Def become one of my Staple, Can't live withouts. It puts me in the mind of the Aveda Brilliante Humectant. (that use to come in the little blue jar back in the day). Shine For Days. Lightweight and Pleasant to the Nose. Great Product.

The Glossing Cream is really good. It has been a staple since Christmas. I received a bottle as a stocking stuffer and it worked so well for my hair, I continue using it faithfully. I am a little curious about the other FF products. The products in my regimen are working fine, so I will not add anything else, unless it’s sample size, so that I can try it a couple of times without spending needlessly.

I'm probably very late, but has anyone tried the new FF Au Naturel range?
