In an Instant

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"…And in an instant, suddenly, you shall be visited and delivered by the Lord of hosts…"
(Isaiah 29:5-6, )

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

All through the Bible, we have examples of how God suddenly showed Himself strong on behalf of His people. But sometimes when we've struggled in an area for a long time, it's easy to just give up and accept things the way they are.

One of the enemy’s favorite lies is to tell you that nothing is ever going to change. He’ll tell you that you’re never going to get well, that your marriage isn’t going to work out, that you’re never going to break that addiction.

But I want to tell you today, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in those circumstances, God can change things in an instant! In a split second of time, He can turn it all around. One touch of God’s power can heal your body. One touch of His favor can promote you. One touch of His goodness can solve that problem. Just one touch from Almighty God can instantly change your life.

I encourage you today, keep believing, keep standing, and keep hoping. Don't let the enemy drag your thoughts down because God is working behind the scenes.

Your time is coming, and I declare that your breakthrough is going to happen suddenly–in an instant!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

"Father in heaven, I choose to trust that You are working things out for my good. I choose to stand in faith, believing that my season of breakthrough is coming. Give me Your strength and peace as I patiently wait on You. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Beautiful message... :Rose:

I Samuel 17:37

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.

Praise God forever.

I love Joel Osteen's messages. Can you ladies provide examples when God delivered you instantly?

I was going through a depressing time. I was driving home on a narrow back road. It was raining and icy. A deer jumped out near the road where the bridge is. At the time, I didn't have a cell phone. I swerved to miss him. I could of easily swerved and hydroplaned off the road into the bridge. I can't swim and it would of been a while before someone found me. I was instantly grateful that it did not ocur that way because God was watching over me.

Thanks so much Pebbles and Supergirl for making this a sticky. And you did this "instantly", after my PM. Praise God for you. :yep:

This word is too good to get lost in other threads. Someone is coming who really, really needs it. :giveheart:

Here I am and I truly need it.

Thanks so much for sharing that Kayte. I hope you and the other ladies can feel how grateful I'm am.Since a couple of days, it seems like I'm not feeling the Holy Spirit anymore when I'm praying....there is something and I can't put my finger on it but I'll STAND, I keep praying and I know Jesus is still with me eventhiugh I can't feel His presence. I know something is trying to take me down but I won't because there is One who loves me and cares for me.

Today, I still didn't feel this "special thing" that moves me this morning while praying but I'll praise Him the whole day and let Him know that I love and trust Him. My Savior is on His way, He won't be long. Once again I will STAND and let Him do the work on me.

God bless you sis'

You're Here ... And that's all that matters and it's all the proof that you need, that whether you 'feel' God or not, you're here. You're here because He's been with you all along, never once left your heart nor by your side. You are here.

The message of this thread is Divinely appointed and to be 'set' in place for you and so, so many others who 'feel' that they can't feel God's presence with them. But He's there. He's there because you love Him; you love God so much, that you are hurting to feel more of Him than you ever have before. What you are feeling that you don't feel, are the pains of growing pains, of more in the Lord. The growing pains of being more and more like 'Him', your first Love, Jesus.

The further you 'feel', the 'Closer' you are. He's right there deeply inside of your heart. So deep... is it any wonder it feels that you don't seem to feel Him. The two of you are just that 'close' in love. :love2:

He knew you'd seek Him and no matter where you'd search, He made it a point to be right here waiting to love you and to embrace you. Fall into His arms, He's right there, everywhere still in love with you. :heart2:

Oh God bless you, dear one

I know exactly what you mean....the abscence of that warm feeling
but what I'm learning slowly is that the Holy Spirit does not always manifest
in my concept of what it should be or 'feel'
We worship a mysterious God :)

but what I'm learning is those times are when faith must have its work and becomes MORE than a word we mouth in prayer
I believe it 's stepping out and taking actions
even in the abscence of feeling but in the action of faith
I know how hard it can be..but we are not alone

that is WHY we ask others to pray with and for us
because the bible says
the prayer of a fervent one availeth much~

and it's why Jesus said wherever two or more are gathered
there...I AM in the midst
Jesus is our advocate..He said to Simon Peter
..the enemy has asked to grind you into powder
but I have prayed for you

You're are so right!
Your Savior is RIGHT on time

Behold.. before they call...out... I will answer

Thank you much Shimmie and Kayte:kissing4:
I'm almost here, in :crying3: while reading at your posts. The way you are saying things goes straight to my heart and I praise the Lord for His love that shows through persons like you.

What you ladies say is soooo true....I wish I can introduce my mother to this forum but....:wallbash:she can't understand english. We're sharing scriptures and religious thoughts almost every day (with some other persons of the family) and I share my story with her 2 days ago. I really need some fellows to associate to my prayers. And she was so supportive....

I'll come back later...

Thank you all for these words! I have been feeling a lil down spiritually I guess you can say... This has lifted my spirits some, I have been lazy in reading my word and prayer.. :( I know I am dead wrong and need to fix that so I can get reconnected. Its soo funny that when you dont read and pray often, you can really feel yourself going down and feel a disconnect between you and God. I am thankful for this thread and the reconnect thats on the way! :) Thanks ladies! :)

Yeah, that's true; it's like something is missing. I think it's a blessing to be aware of that so that you can reconnect yourself. We keep on saying and writing it but sometimes we need to say it loud, feel it in our heart and truly believe that HE LOVE US.

Mrs. TheBronx :kissing4:, just reconnect yourself and enjoy his warm presence, He is still there even if you're king of lazy those days.
He never failed.

Thanks Paradise! I am doing sooo much better today!! I will keep myself surrounded in God (reading the Bible and CF, praying, listening to uplifting music while at work etc.) He is so good, and I know he will get me back on track! :) It was soo weird because I talked to DH about it last night and he said he had been feeling the same way, kinda spiritually down... and I didn't even know it! So we went to Noon Bible study and both left refreshed. Pastor had a great message and also announced that Sunday service will be a "concert of prayer" instead of a regular service! I said boy, God is soo good and right on time! :)

I am also part of a woman's fellowship group (Rainbow Fellowship) that gets together monthly and its soo funny that the next meeting is on Sat!! We have such an awesome time in the Lord! The prayer is off the hook at the end! And you know what... the enemy had me thinking to myself.. "You dont have to go, u always make all the meetings, u can skip it this time, etc." After yesterday, I said there is no way I will miss it! Stomp right on that enemy! He has lined everything up for me to get back focused on Him! THANK YOU LORD!! and ladies of the CF! :)

Jesus is our advocate, yes He is.

Vous êtes très précieux ... Merci pour le Paris Bienvenue.

And you are so right about Jesus... He is indeed our Advocate and may I say He is our ... 'Défenseur' ?

Jésus est notre Défenseur :bat: :yep:

:yep: Yes, He is. He'll defend us to the very end.
Protecting loving hearts such as ;yours.

Remember this. You have done nothing, absolutely nothing to disappoint neither offend Him. He will 'defend' you against any accuser of such, be it by word, thought or deed.

No matter what your 'feelings' of doubt may have been... Jesus says, He is, your "I Am..." Defending you to the very end.

N'est-ce pas vrai? Indeed it is. :yep: :Rose:

Que Dieu vous bénisse, Paradise. Je veux dire très sincèrement. Dieu est vraiment avec vous. Votre cœur le montre tout le chemin de Paris, France. :love2:

BTW: Je connais très peu le français :giggle:

Thank you for posting this kayte. I saw this thread the day you posted it, but I didn't read it. I saw it earlier today, but still didn't look. But this evening I read it and it was right on time. God wanted me to read it today. It's a reminder for me. Sometimes I forget, but God reminded me earlier today during a conversation I had with my mother and this thread is confirmation.
