I haven't been taking care of my hair, and it's still growing

I had not really taken care of my hair in the last 6 months. I've been very busy with some other things. But when I washed it the other day, it has grown about to where it should be given the amount of time. :yay:

Hair is always growing whether you take care of it or not, but it's great that you were able to retain your length without having to do too much. So the question is, what have you been doing?

I think that doing less is more. I was under the same impression that I have not focused on my hair for quite a while and felt like ive neglected my hair BUT its still thriving.

I realized that less is more and better for me. I found my own definition of K.I.S.S because what I may do may be not sufficient or just too much for other.

I know for a fact that low mani + finger combing has tremendously helped my hair .
and also I listen to my hair ... I dont follow a strict regimen it always depends on what it needs.

This works for my sister as well. She rarely washes and her hair will be rock hard formed to her head but it is still thick as ever and growing. Because of her I decided I wanted to do a low manipulation regimne which is why I put these ugly TST in my hair.

I have learned over the last couple of months that doing less to my hair is working great. I just wash my hair once a week and I just finger comb my hair and bun it. My hair is doing great and growing nicely.

I feel so guilty lately. I'm in one of those 'i really don't want to care for this hair' mode.
I should have washed and DC'ed since last week. I'm itching all over the place. My large twists are fuzzy, scalp itchy and I don't give a HOOT! Well, in my defense I had the flu this week...still, I'm just not motivated. I know it's dry too but oh well...

Good 4 u! For about a year, I neglected my regimen and just kept to a few basics (basics that did not take up time basically) and I have still seen improvements :yay:!
