I got my hair relaxed today and I am so happy that it came out good with not too many split ends. I was amazed at the growth especially before she roller wrapped it. The stylist used Mizani with lye. My hair was deep conditioned and roller wrapped. I think I retained a decent amount of my three inches because she said my ends were in good shape and needed nothing but a minor dusting which I watched her do in the mirror. The thin ends which I was worried about came out good and actually are thick. So with that said, I am definitely in line for another relaxer stretch which will probably be in October or November now that I know how to take care of my hair. All the torture and torment was worth it just to see that first glimpse of my hair. Indeed, it looks as if I am on my way to my first goal which is shoulder length.

Your hair looks nice. Like someone mentioned maintaing moisture is the key. I would also throw in many deep conditioning treatments with a good moisturizing conditioner.

I am so happy for you. This is a great improvement. I has body and shine. I would definitely say stretch out the relaxer for another 6 months. Definitely maintain your hair everday. I soooo agree with Michelle. Deep COndition everyweek & moisturized at least 4 times a week. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the compliments ladies! I am trying to stay on the right track with the hair stuff and be patient because I am starting with short hair. My last relaxer was in October before I found the board and I didn't take any pictures. The one on Fotki was taken in January. I definitely intend to keep it moisturized. Hopefully, the second time around my hair will improve some more. Again, thanks for being so inspiring!
