Wedding Day (not mine) Hair Pic

Well, I look drugged and like I'm about to pass out in this pic (I think I was), so excuse the face...but here is a pic of my hair cut and twist set for the wedding. I wanted something more "glamarous" but I guess this had to do (my hairdresser was really visuallizing the twist set).....People liked it, so I guess it went over well.

ETA: Oh, there was a big purple flower in my hair during the ceramony to "spice" it up....Puh-lease!!!!

(I'm not into the whole "dress up" thing believe it or not...there are only a few people that can get me to do this kind of thing )

Thank you ladies! After she cut about an inch sometimes more off, I was a little down, even though I loved the fact I had clean ends again, I missed the length (I won't go that long without a trim again). Then I didn't feel like my hair was in a "wedding" style, so I was a little down about that....but the day was beautiful (outdoor wedding) and so was the bride, and that's what it was all about!

I do wish I could do it on my own though...mine NEVER come out that good! Instead of flat twisting from front all the way to the back, she parted the hair into top and bottom sections/rows, and put flat twists from front to center, then the next section/row from center to back.

You hair looks great. Do you know what products were used?

You know, I didn't even pay too much attention, too focussed on how much she cut! I do know she put some type of leave in or styling lotion before she twisted...she actually used a little of brown gel (YUCK!) for the top twists (I guess to control the edges, it didn't get hard or flaky), and used some Mizani Rose Water creme and Biosilk Silk Therapy to style.

Your hair looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing the pics... Purple is my favorite color so I love the dress too :)

Girl, that do-do brown gel can come in handy for some things and work out well.

Surprisingly! When she pulled that jar out I thought I was gonna have to fight her...but then I just let her do her thing and it worked out.

Again, thank you ladies!!! I'm never successful at my own twist out (yes, even though it's simple, lol) She did have to use rods on some of the twists (where it's straight at the top left)...She used the really small ones so I may have to get those instead of the ones I have, which I thought were small enough, to give it a try myself again.
