6 FOOT LADIES SUPPORT THREAD

I feel like my hair growing challenge is very long and lonely at times, since I am 6' tall my progress is not as fast as the majority of the ladies and my APL is BSL or MBL for the shorter ladies on the board. Most ladies that BC'd 1 year ago reached APL and I an not even close *sad face*

Anyway...Who is with me to support and keep the moal up in the loong road to APL/BSL/MBL/WL ?

ETA: You obviously don't HAVE TO be 6', just tall and gorgeous :grin:

Dam* them with their short necks. LOL.. I feel ya... I'm 5'9. Both of my sisters are under 5'5 and their hair seems like it grows by leaps and bounds.

I'm in! I'm 5'10, transitioning, and I think it'll take a whole lot of hair (and therefore time and patience) to say I've got natural hair all down my back.

I'm in. I'm 6' tall, transitioning, and it seems like it will take forever and a day to reach full SL and APL. :sad:

I'm 5'10" transitioning and looking at about 5 years to MbL. I'm down for a support thread! It makes me sad to see these girls get to WL in like 2 years.

I'm back in hair growth mode. I lost a lot of hair due to stress and tangles and cut off a few inches. I need about 7 inches to make it to waist length. I'm gonna try to hold on to all 6 inches this year and exercise at least 3 times a weak, bun, moisturize and massage edges.

My BSL is a average sized womans MB/WL .

I'm currently SL (NG EL I think) and wish I would not bc until my "ng" is at SL but I'm impatience..

Hair-length-growing is one of only two negatives about being tall.

Yeah, let's do this. I'm 5 foot 9 and transitioning. People normally say that it takes them 2 years to grow to shoulder length from bald but i'm sure it's gonna take me 3 with my long neck.

having a longer body is the reason why i wouldn't transition i LOVE long hair and the thought of having to wait 5 years to get to waist length from starting from scratch nope it not happening :nono:

Post your Starting pics and lets see how we progress throughout the year.

Here's mine, I am currently 14 months and 3 weeks post BC, most shorter ladies are APL by now...but Guess who's not.
Hopefully 2010 is the year I reach APL.

Thanks OP! 5'10 over here this has been on my mind for about a week. I too have noticed that most of the people who I tranistioned with have already claimed BSL/BSB in '09. My hair is staightened, and I haven't even taking pics because I still can't claim BSL. My last relaxer was 3 years ago this month; I really thought that I would be WL in 4years. I have set a goal of MBL by the end of the year. I decided to make a progress t this weekend, and I will trim this week, so that I can have some point of reference.

I'm in. I'm 6'1'' and I just want BSl. I am somewhere below the shoulders but above APL. Maybe I can get BSL this year.

I'm currently 1 year 3 weeks post.

This is my length straigthened, I'm claiming (a grazing) SL.

I would love closer to, rather than further from, APL by June/July.

Hello all!

6'1 newbie here and I have been transitioning to natural since May 2009 :grin:

. My hair is about shoulder length, but when I measured the very back it was 7 inches long! If I was 5'1 I guess I would be APL by now! I am in a holding pattern now because I trim every two months to get rid of the relaxed ends and maintain this length.

I'm in. I'm 5'8 but I have a long torso/neck. SL to APL is 6 inches for me (I measured) which I don't have that kind of growth (ETA) in a year. My hair grows lol

I'm with you!!! I am 5'10.5" and I have a very long neck...(see my fotki.com/cheveux profile). I am APL and BSL is a Looonnnnng way from my APL. With my next touch-up I should be BSL. MBL doesn't seem as far away from BSL. I think my hair on an average height lady would be MBL.

The other thing is: Really long hair looks GREAT on tall women. So to me MBL is a MUST for it to "show" on us almost six-footers.

I'm in. I'm 5'11". I should be BSL by now but I had a setback/major trim in june. But its funny SL to APL was a stretch, APL to BSL is like a 2 inch difference but BSL to MBL is another 4 and then I still think from MBL I have 2" to WSL. This year I'm going for MBL, why not?

How long did it take you to get from SL to APL?

I am 5' 9 1/2" and yes it is taking a lifetime to get to my goal of MBL.

Count me in, Im 5'9". i went from jaw length to a little past APL in about a year and my goal is MBL. Right now I am almost BSB. I have a starting and present pic in my profile.

im in! I am 5'11 and I love my height I just don't love how long its taking me to get to WSL it took me awhile to get to MBL. I feel that if I was shorter I would have been WSL awhile ago!
