regardless of her starting length, regardless of her height, she made some GOOD PROGRESS! I would be so happy if I got that level of growth in under a year and her hair looks healthy to boot!
I wasn't trying to distract from her progress by any means.
She did really well.
I just wanted to keep it in perspective; therefore keeping my goals realistic (not that they are
).
Now I wish I was shorter - well, maybe not. She did retain quite a bit, regardless of her height.
Please, it is always greener on the other side. I used to fall in love with guys who were like 6'2 when I was like 4'10 and they would just look straight over my head. I would have killed to be taller. The only good thing about being short is the heels - and my sister rocks heels that are higher
Ya, I realized that too; her and traycee are both really short; but still...I'm still impressed!
Awesome that she was able to reach her goals in a very short time. That is always nice to see.
However, I like to know the starting point and height of the person also, just to keep it in perspective. You really can't tell HOW impressive it is unless you think in terms of the number of inches over X period of time. You can't really tell from pics how many inches she grew over the 10 months. Height can give you a ballpark estimate. Her growth rate could be the normal 1/2 inch a month.
It keeps us realistic and helps us estimate. It does not make sense for a LHCFer (particularly a newbie) of, say, 6'2 kicking herself because she is not achieving the same goals as someone half her height.
At the same time, that person who
IS 6'2 with the same progress? . . . I am at her feet listening and following intently . . . . because not only was her progress impressive but it was totally out of the norm. If she can reach her goals in that short of time, heck I could wrap my body in my hair with the same progress.
Soooooo . . . . not bashing by any means. I would be THRILLED to have her length and I don't. I now know I can reach MBL though in about 1.5 years if I really work at. For me, that is inspiration.
