This girl has amazing Traycee-like progress!

She was already passed APL at the start, almost BSL so it's possible for anyone to do if they focus and stick to a simple regime w/ PS and don't get scissor happy.

Good points, I didn't realize she was almost bsl.

Her progress is amazing!!! She appears to be full apl at her start. She is very consistent with her regimen and maintaining her growth. I love to see ladies progress like this because it encourages me to step it up.

Added: Correction, I was wrong in determining the length! Lucia's estimate is accurate:)

I agree with Lucia. She's almost BSL. APL is a line from the armpit and she's way past that!
She's on Hairlista.com as Guyanesebaby!
She is very good with her hair and it pays back! :)

I knew you guys were talking about her! She is so sweet! Love her. Yes, her progress has been amazing. She has a solid regimen, very helpful and I just love that she's West Indian. Her accent reminds me of my childhood babysitter, who was Guyanese.

But honestly though that is still some pretty fast growth. Maybe it was partially the consistent use of JBCO.

Why are ppl dissecting her starting length???? I dont get it!!!!

The girl had great progress.....AND actually wasnt overzealous tryna claim BSL with 10 strands!

Can't we just congratulate her?....This chick had phenomenal progress!

I say bravo!!!!

Great progress!! I wonder how tall she is, I know sometimes that makes a difference!

She said she is 4'9

I was thinking that same thing, so thanks for the info. I am 5'2 with a short torso. My sister is 5"11 with long torso and legs. My sides are just brushing my shoulders (not quite ready to claim SL) but a little past shoulders in the back, It will only take me 8 inches to get to the bottom of my bra strap. From the same point on my sister's back, it will take her about 14. I am aiming for the top of my bra strap by Dec 31, 2010. IF I can keep to my regimen, I might be able to do it stretched. Keeping fingers crossed.

regardless of her starting length, regardless of her height, she made some GOOD PROGRESS! I would be so happy if I got that level of growth in under a year and her hair looks healthy to boot!

She made good progress. I never realized how much height plays a factor. But it does

Awesome that she was able to reach her goals in a very short time. That is always nice to see.

However, I like to know the starting point and height of the person also, just to keep it in perspective. You really can't tell HOW impressive it is unless you think in terms of the number of inches over X period of time. You can't really tell from pics how many inches she grew over the 10 months. Height can give you a ballpark estimate. Her growth rate could be the normal 1/2 inch a month.

OT-Shut yo mouth! JBCO? I love JBCO! Now I have even more of a reason to love it. Everyone should own some or atleast try using JBCO once.

On topic her hair is nice.

I'm so happy for her that she got got great results in such a short period of time! Height does play a factor, as well as how long or short your back and torso is. Generally, there are about 6 inches in between each major length on the body, and since the norm is 6 inches of hair growth a year, I'd say she had tremendous progress! :yep:

I wasn't trying to distract from her progress by any means. :nono: She did really well. :yep: I just wanted to keep it in perspective; therefore keeping my goals realistic (not that they are :spinning:).

Now I wish I was shorter - well, maybe not. She did retain quite a bit, regardless of her height.

Please, it is always greener on the other side. I used to fall in love with guys who were like 6'2 when I was like 4'10 and they would just look straight over my head. I would have killed to be taller. The only good thing about being short is the heels - and my sister rocks heels that are higher

Ya, I realized that too; her and traycee are both really short; but still...I'm still impressed!

:yep: It keeps us realistic and helps us estimate. It does not make sense for a LHCFer (particularly a newbie) of, say, 6'2 kicking herself because she is not achieving the same goals as someone half her height.

At the same time, that person who IS 6'2 with the same progress? . . . I am at her feet listening and following intently . . . . because not only was her progress impressive but it was totally out of the norm. If she can reach her goals in that short of time, heck I could wrap my body in my hair with the same progress.

Soooooo . . . . not bashing by any means. I would be THRILLED to have her length and I don't. I now know I can reach MBL though in about 1.5 years if I really work at. For me, that is inspiration. :yep:

She did make great progress.

I don't think it's amazing, but that's probably because I'm used to seeing a lot of the ladies on here retain all of their 6 inches.
