Adding MSM to Your Hair Products?

I think I've read here a couple of times of someone adding MSM to their hair products. Are you adding it to your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, or leave-in? How many tsps. or tbs. of MSM to ounces? What benefits have you seen from adding MSM to your products? I usually take about 1 tsp of powder MSM everyday with water.

I guess nobody does it. :look: I plan to do it but i've been too lazy to walk downstairs and scoop some MSM to stash in my bathroom. I plan on opening up a capsule of biotin and maybe 1/4tsp of MSM and add it to my deep conditioner (for every serving). I started a post about this a month or so back. I copied and pasted a recipe for MSM cream, i found on the internet. It basically gave the portion to mix and you add it to your favorite lotion/cream. It also mentioned to boil the MSM in a lil bit of water so that it will dissolve. It is a mineral so the quality wont be destroyed with heat (unlike a vitamin).

I don't do it but I've seen, lotions, shampoo and conditioner that MSM in it.

So I would think you could put a little bit in it all.

I use MSM hand cream and I do notice a difference in the softness of my hands.

Try a little and see if you like or if your hair likes it.

I just dumped some MSM into my conditioner with some aloe, and so far, I do not see a difference.

I added what was left in a tub of MSM powder (maybe about 3 tbsp) to my conditioner, cholesterol, garlic pills, EVOO and honey. I don't regularly CW, so I have no idea if it was a good idea or not. I've only used the mixture twice so far and no big difference. Though, I did recently add some left over biotin pills and about 50 zinc pills since I've switched to different brands. We'll see next week sometime how it works out.

Qhemet Biologics puts MSM in their products. Here is the link to their ingredients page, Just scroll down until you see "MSM"
http://www.qhemetbiologics.com/ingredients.pdf

(you must have adobe reader to view it)

here is there main page

If you have natural hair or are transitioning the Amla and Olive Heavy Cream from them is EXCELLENT. It has MSM in it which softens my hair like nothing ive ever tried. SERIOUSLY.

I put MSM in my conditioner and shampoo. Over a series of uses it should make your hair feel softer and loosen the coils if you have naturally 4a-4b-4c hair.
HTH!!
