AirDrying

I love airdrying because I am lazy and I really don't have to do anything. My hair air dries huge and I love it. I have one problem. It always looks dry and dusty after completely drying. It's not actually dry and it's really soft and I use leave ins, but it looks so dry and I usually flat iron because of it. When I air dry braid-outs I use the same products and the braid-outs always look shiny and moist. Any suggestions?

what i do that usually helps with the dry/crunchiness of air dried hair is while air drying... maybe like half way through, i add a little argan oil or moroccan oil and maybe a dab of moisturizer and continue to smooth the hair with my hands. this usually helps the hair dry smooth and moisturized... i'm texlaxed btw.
