Hey, I see so many threads about clarifying and such. I was so compelled to clarify, that I bought a lil box of baking soda. However, I'm now stuck because I don't know how to exactly clarify using baking soda.

Somebody, Anybody... tell me:
1. what you do to clarify
2. how often you clarify
3. any specific mixtures or combinations that you use
4. any alternative routes to clarifying

Thanks guys!!! You've been soo helpful so far!

1. what you do to clarify: I use either 2 tbsp of baking soda in water, or 3 tbsp (roughly, I ain't actually measuring) in conditioner.
2. how often you clarify: Once every six weeks, or so.
3. any specific mixtures or combinations that you use: Depends on how 'ick' my hair feels. If it just needs a freshener, I'll use the water mix (about 1.5 - 2 cups?). If it REALLY needs a good clarifying, I'll use the conditioner mix, and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
4. any alternative routes to clarifying: You can always get a clarifying shampoo, but BS is my favorite.

HTH!
