bang or not to bang?

hey ladies

I am getting so bored with my hair. I reached my goal of waist in September, and now am shooting for tailbone length. Howver, I am getting so bored with my hair, and i am definitely considering a bang. I dont think i have a big forehead, so i think it will look okay. I guess I am afraid of the maintenance.

My question to bang ladies: Does having a bang require more maintenance than not having one. Meaning, do you think its worth curling your hair every morning, or rolling your hair every night? I am not sure. Thoughts?

I've had them several times over my life and I'll never do it again. :nono: Yes on some ladies they are really cute  especially to minimize a fivehead  but the maintenance is :wallbash:. I stretch my relaxer and it would be harder to hide 3 months of ng on a bang. They have to stay curled or styled and I just didn't like the extra work. Also, when you are finally ready to grow them out...:wallbash:...it takes forever. :nono::nono:

If you go to the salon regularly or are used to keeping them curled or slicked down daily it probably won't be too bad. But the only time I go to the salon is for TU's. As cute as they are, I wouldn't do it again.

But if you MUST have them, consider getting them long enough that you can clip them back or include them with a ponytail. Maybe start with long bangs and then keep chopping until you get to a length you can work with.

I agree - try longer face framing bangs first before you commit to anything really short.

Maybe some long layers instead....?

since your hair is waist length i think it would be nice to do a side swept bang, at least with the side swept bangs if you get leave some length you can still pull the front back and blend it with the rest of your hair. this link says eye length bangs are good for long hair too.

i'm very pro bang , but i agree with the other ladies,i would try not to go too short at first maybe do a longer layered bang before a really drastic shorter one.
