Power To Be Patient

By Bishop Keith Butler
This week's topic: The Power Of The Spirit
One of the reasons why people don’t walk in patience is that they are too lazy to do spiritual work -- to daily give thanksgiving to God, pray in the Spirit, meditate the Word, confess the Word over themselves, walk in love, be open to the Holy Spirit, and give.
Because of this, they do not have enough power to be patient. When they don’t inherit the promise, they say, “I don’t know why God let this happen to me.” It wasn’t God’s fault. They were the problem.
The good news is that if you are the problem, you can turn around and be the answer. Hebrews 6 talks about a man named Abraham who didn’t start out walking in faith and patience but learned to operate that way. As a result, he was blessed in all things.

You have to know who you are in Christ, you have to live holy, you have to clean up your mouth, you have to realize that you have a High Priest, you have to keep your body in line, and you have to keep your confession and remain constant, even in the middle of the storm in your life.

When you set your faith on something, you have to make a decision that you are setting your faith there until you die. Drawing back only results in the defeat, entrapment, and destruction by satan. You have to decide that you’re not going back to debt, sickness, fear, anger and strife. Choose life! Choose healing and debt-free living. Choose joy and love!
Scripture Of The Day: "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." - Hebrews 10:36 (KJV)
