I'm back lurking in this thread again after watching AfrikanHairGod react to a Devacurl scandal video. It does sound like the Wen fiasco (2.0). Apparently there's been strong debate over the inherent safety of their ingredients:

This thread is a couple of years old, but I was at TJ Maxx last week and went over to the beauty area. I wasn't really looking for haircare, but I looked up at one section of the haircare wall and it was full of Devacurl. Like a WHOLE section. I wanted to put a warning up. But the way that section looked nice and orderly, I don't think anyone was picking up those products anyway.
