Has anyone seen the movie? What were your likes, dislikes, etc. when lining it up with the Word?

I haven't seen it yet, but I can't wait to see it so that we can talk about it.

I saw it and enjoyed it. But I can't elaborate on how it lines up with the Word.

I thought the movie was good (though some of the audience comments/reactions could have been toned down a bit...but I know how folks get sometimes, LOL). I guess the only thing that really disturbed me about the movie was the fact that the young woman began a relationship without ending her marriage. Her momma (cicely tyson) even pointed that one out in the movie, but by then it was a little too late. I think that was a bad example, b/c what if she chose to go back to her husband? Shemar would have been left in the cold and heartbroken

I kept saying that C, and my friend thought it wasn't a big deal. erplexed

I saw it and thought it was great. I know what you mean about her starting a relationship, but I think they were portraying what happens in real life. Cicely was telling her the right thing to do and letting her know God's way was not like that! I think it had positive messages and was an overall good movie!
