DIY Locs?

Does anyone have any sites or youtube videos that can help me install locs for the first time?

I have been doing (braiding and relaxing) my brother's hair for about 4 years and have grown it to almost BSL. Now he wants me to loc his hair and I have no idea how to. He also wants to be able to take them out if he doesn't like them

I've done some research and I'm not sure he realizes the journey he has ahead of him. He thinks they're gonna look like the men who have had them for years once he has them and from what I read it may take months if not years for his hair to look the way he's thinking. For example

Not to mention the maintenance and how to wear it and shampoo/condition it so it doesn't frizz out too much. I gave him some website to read and he claims he did.

He apparently couldn't find a loc expert around our area (which I find hard to believe) so he asked me. So any ideas? Anything would be helpful!

There is a loc support thread somewhere around here. If you do a title search you should find it pretty easily. Sounds like your brother wants something like loc extensions which can be taken down and have the mature loc look immediately. @BlackMasterPiece does them and has plenty of examples on her website by the same name http://blackmasterpiece.com/.
