^^^^ Even if it's dos and don'ts for hair care, I'm thinking, what do they know about women's hair care? Why are we still caring about what they are thinking about hair?

wow. that was some advice. Especially the one that dissed Whoppi's locs and the last one...you out did yourself OP.

ETA: How many men did you interview and are they attracted to women? I ask because I don't know a lot of men that care that much about our hair.

Unless the dude and I stood in front of a government official of some sort and said, “I do,” he doesn’t have a right to voice an opinion on the hair that is growing out of my scalp (and even then, he had better err on the side of caution and his continued good health). Any dude believing otherwise can skip his opinionated :censored: on from whence he came.

No offense intended towards you, OP.

I think there is nothing wrong with taking your man's opinion on your hair into account. Don't live for him but I believe when you get into a serious relationship you are making a covalent bond between yourselves and have become one molecule (lol too much chemistry on my mind). And so the others opinion SHOULD matter to you. If it doesnt, you can't love that person. This is regardless of the type of love

I don't about you but if I thought a particular shirt my boyfriend loved was hideous I would want him to take my opinion into account. He may love the shirt so much that i would back off and realise his happiness is more important but if he turned around and said "You better not be telling me what to wear. thats none of your business" I would be really hurt.

Love considers others. Love compromises. That should be true for both members of the relationship

Wait so now I have to wear a weave for a special occasion? Why can't I just try out a new hair style with my real hair? :ohwell:

I thought it was light and cute and I take it for what it is...light and cute! It's like a little fashion magazine side article, like "7 Scents Men Like on Women"...no big deal, right? If we don't like the scent we don't wear it. If we don't like a man's hair advice, we don't listen. We do the same thing here. If we don't like some LHCF advice, we read it, thank them, and keep it moving, right?

OP, those ads on your site with the video you had to watch on the side for Tmobile got on my last nerve. I could not get past page 2.

ddi anyone even actually click on the like to read the piece? :nono:

anywho OP the only one that was a bit off to me was the occasional weave for a special event one. But i guess I could just look at that as men wanting you to do a little something extra or out of the norm for a big event

So true...it just goes to show how insanely oblivious and clueless most men are when it comes to beauty and ESPECIALLY hair care. Yet they think they are somehow qualified to speak on it. :perplexed

That's why I asked for a summary, but I did click the link so I could be counted as a marketing impression.

I got responses by a little under a hundred guys-all straight. They didn't give me a list of do's / don'ts. They just told me what they preferred on a woman and what could possibly turn them off and I compiled a list based on what was repeated often. The overall thing from most guys is that they don't care much as long as it looks good on the person wearing it-but they definitely care, the same way a man cares about you size, shape, skin, teeth... I care about those thing to. It wasn't written as a guide, just a list of some things that men pay attention to. Some of it was in jest such as the last on which was told to me in the most crass way but I cleaned it up. Also, the weave on special occasions wasn't meant in place of actually doing your own hair. The guys who said that expressed they are not a fan of women wearing weaves ALL the time, but it's good once in a while....thanks for reading and responding.
