State of hair (relaxed, natural, texlaxed, BKT, etc)
Transitioning, 17 months post

Hair type (3_, 4_, etc)
Unsure still but I suspect 4a/3c, hair has a strong pattern, some parts are looser/tighter than others

Density (thin, medium, thick)
High

Strand size (thin, medium, thick)
Thick

Porosity (low, normal, high)
Normal

Products your hair loves (moisture, protein, butters, oils, teas, Ayurvedics, etc):
Staple 'poo: Yes to Carrots (diluted in water)
Staple condish: JCS Nutrient Replenishing Condish
Moisturizers: My condish and pretty much Komaza anything
Sealants: Komaza Califia Moisturizing Cream or jojoba oil

Products your hair hates (moisture, protein, butters, oils, teas, Ayurvedics, etc):
A lot of hydrolyzed protein can really mat it up, but I still use it in small quantities. I'm also careful around products with a soup of plant and flower extracts, I spot test products with these.

Typical style (twists, braids, extensions, weaves, wigs, roller set, flat iron, blow dry, air dry, buns, etc)
Braidouts! Although I'd love to have a good rollerset, and lately thinking of giving Curlformers a try

Current length
APL methinks

HHJ goals
Strong strands that resist repeated force, independence from stylists and direct heat.

Hair's dry and naked here

State of hair: I am natural
Hair type: I am type 3B
Hair Density: Medium
Strand size: Thick as heck!
Porosity: Normal/High
Products your hair loves: AOHSR, Aphogee 2 min, EVCO, EVJO, KCKT, KCCC. My hair enjoys light butters such as shea.
Products your hair hates: My hair doesnt like HEHH, Castor Oil, EVOO, Aloe Vera, Baggying!
Typical style: Wash n go! My last protective style were yarn braids and they made my ends so dry I had to cut .5 inches.
Current length: Since my cut I am at shoulder length
HHJ goals: To keep these ends feeling nice, my short term goal is to reach a length where my hair starts falling instead of growing out!

I just think you are so cute.

Thanks for all the info MsJamerican! If you have twin on here, she should definitely be able to find you! Wanna share a picture of your hair?

Yes, sorry about that. I completely forgot. I am currently in box braids now (keeping this style for a year), so here are pics from 2010-2011: I hope they are clear enough (rarely took pics because I never felt it was necassary:ohwell:):

^^ Duchess007...our textures are kind of similar. You have way more hair than I do and your curl looks slightly looser...or your texture may be a bit silkier.

Those pics are fresh from a DC, so... 'cause I definitely wouldn't call my hair silky! :p

I'm going to try some of your staple products to see if my hair likes them, too.

NaturalEnigma, I think we're similar. I'm not sure about density and porosity, but I have pics upthread if you want to compare.

I hope I have a hair twin some where out there!

State of hair (relaxed, natural, texlaxed, BKT, etc): natural
Hair type (3_, 4_, etc): 4a maybe some 4b
Density (thin, medium, thick): thin
Strand size (thin, medium, thick): fine to medium
Porosity (low, normal, high) normal (but I don't believe my hair analysis :look:)
Products your hair loves (moisture, protein, butters, oils, teas, Ayurvedics, etc): My hair doesn't love too much of anything except Terresentials mud wash and B.A.S.K DC's . However, it can tolerate kimmaytube leave-in, Coilyheadchick ultimate hair treat, cupuacu butter, coconut oil only when I prepoo or oil rinse, argan oil, jojoba oil, Camille rose curl love hair milk, and flaxseed gel
Products your hair hates (moisture, protein, butters, oils, teas, Ayurvedics, etc): Thick heavy butters like shea butter, grease, too much protein equals breakage city, tea rinses, all cones, most synthetic ingredients, glycerin equals poofy hair every single time I use it!!!, and too much aloe vera equals crunchy hair
Typical style (twists, braids, extensions, weaves, wigs, roller set, flat iron, blow dry, air dry, buns, etc): loose twist, marley braiding hair buns, wigs in fall/winter, and occasional curlformers to stretch when styling bantu knots and braid outs.
Current length: APL
HHJ goals: Waist length
I will post pics of my hair soon.

Froreal3 I don't know if we're twins, but maybe sisters...

State of hair (relaxed, natural, texlaxed, BKT, etc) Natural

Hair type (3_, 4_, etc) 4b in the crown with a halo of 4A and 3C (very loose in the front)

Density (thin, medium, thick) medium

Strand size (thin, medium, thick) thin

Porosity (low, normal, high) medium/high

Products your hair loves (moisture, protein, butters, oils, teas, Ayurvedics, etc) I haven't used a lot of products. I cowash with VO5 faithfully. Otherwise, I use homemade mixes with aloe vera juice, oils, butters, eggs, silk, and honey, which keeps the curls defined and moist. My hair loves, leave-ins with coconut oil, moisturizing sprays with avocado oil and aloe, whipped butters (especially with shea, cocoa, and mango), henna, apple cider vinegar, herbs/teas, and clays/mud.

Products your hair hates (moisture, protein, butters, oils, teas, Ayurvedics, etc): Using Eco styler made my hair extremely dry, but that's the only thing I can think of.

Typical style (twists, braids, extensions, weaves, wigs, roller set, flat iron, blow dry, air dry, buns, etc): I usually put my hair in microbraids (with added hair). When not in micros, I'm usually in 2-strand twists.

Current length: Not quite full APL

HHJ goals: Healthy (unstretched) MBL

Sent from my iPhone using LHCF

I think my hair my is the shorter version of yours lol. I know mine is 3c/4a.

Froreal3 I think I've just found my hair twin ! My hair does like AOGPB and most oils that ur hair likes too. My twist look scalpy as well so that's why I do loose twist cuz it makes my hair look fuller. My hair does like some hair lotions too. Also my hair stretches easily and looks dang near straight when I do braid outs, twist outs, and bantu knot outs . Have u tried a wash n go? If so, what product do u use to define ur curls? I'm looking for a product that can weigh my hair down. Thx in advance .

Yay! tashboog

Girl, braidouts combed out a little resemble blowouts for me as well. One day I had a combed out braid out fro and someone was like, "I love your blow out." I was just like, "thanks." :look: At the time I wasn't into hair and was clueless as to what a blow out was. :lachen:

Anyway, no I have not tried any wash and goes. I've been psing 100% of the time. I'm scared of tangles. I have tried KCCC to get some curls in my bang, but it took too long to dry. :nono: I have some Komaza Aloe My Hair serum that I will try soon.

Froreal3 thanks for answering my question . I've tried KCCC as well but its not heavy enough to weigh my hair down. I probably won't be trying a wash n go until next year anyway. I'm mostly in PS 100% too since my hair acts cray cray when I where it out .

^^ You probably need something heavy duty like Ecostyler then. I pmed you tashboog That is why I don't do "wash n goes." I don't like all that gel type product in my hair.
