Fuzzy hairline

My hairline is what i describe as a frizz cloud,i don't really like using hair gel and i moisturize it everyday,are there any alternatives to tame the frizz?Serums don't work ,they dry out my hair.
I was thinking of texturizing my hairline but i know it's probably not the best idea Lol .

I know you said no gel, but ORS EDGE CONTROL is amazing and doesn't dry hard, it slicks your hair down like nobody's business. I am almost 11 months post and my edges look freshly relaxed

I have really been liking using styling cream for this lately. I recently went back to using John Freida Secret Weapon Styling Cream. I like it for my whole head but I concentrate it on the edges and smooth with a brush and scarf. I feel like gel is too hard and pomade is too greasy. I've tried a million pomades and gels. Styling cream gives me the best look and feel.
