How long does it typically take you to run through a bottle of these products?

Shampoo: 1 - 3 years. I still have shampoos from 06!

Conditioner (cheapie): 3 weeks to 3 months, depending on how much I'm rotating. I cowash alot, and I am *very* generous with conditioner

Conditioner (deep): About 6 - 8 months

Leave-In: 6 months to a year. I'm light-handed with my leave-ins

Moisturizer: 1 year

Oils: 3 months - 2 years, depending on the oil. I can go through coconut oil in 2-3 months, because I also use it on my skin. Castor oil seems to last me forever.

Heat Protectant: 1 - 1.5 years. I don't really use heat in my hair

Serum/Gloss: 2 - 2.5 years

Shampoo: I don't use shampoo...but my bentonite clay lasts at least 6 months (and I use it on my face and hair).

Conditioner: 4-6 weeks...I use it as my regular conditioner, and sometimes as a moisturizer/detangler.

Leave-In: Don't use one.

Moisturizer: 4-6 weeks.

Oils: 4-6 weeks...I use it before every wash and I use a lot. Sometimes I use it as a sealer.

Heat Protectant: Don't use one.

Serum/Gloss: Don't use one.

I generally only buy enough of my products to last me for 4-6 weeks. I do have a tendency to be heavy handed but I try not to waste product. I just like to make sure every strand is covered.

Conditioner (cheapie): when i used them i'd always use a lot, like 5-6oz's each time

Conditioner (deep): i get can get 10-12 uses out of my silk elements megasilk 16oz jar

Leave-In: 3-4 months for a typical 7oz leave in

Moisturizer: 8ozs can last around 4 weeks.

Oils: a long time lol

Heat Protectant: 6 months- 1 year

Serum/Gloss: 2-3 years in general

Shampoo: I use WEN. It take me about three months to get through the large bottle.

Conditioner (cheapie): Not long at all. I do through my cheapies at a rate of a bottle a week.

Conditioner (deep): I have several DC's, so I am not using one particular one with every wash. The last one I finished (ORS Mayo) I had for like 6 months.

Moisturizer: About six months

Oils: Six months to one year.

Heat Protectant: I rarely use heat. A year and a half

Serum/Gloss: A year and a half.

Conditioner (deep): 1 month or less for one (depending on size-8 oz)

Oils: 2-3 months

Heat Protectant: 5+ months

Serum/Gloss:7+months

Serum/Gloss: Don't use.


My hair is very spongy and absorbs A LOT of product. It's gonna get out of hand as it gets longer

but my hair sops it up! Especially that watery cheap type of conditioner. I do purposely go a bit overboard co wash time. Just because it's usually on a whim and I'm pampering my hair.

but if you were to touch my hair when it dries.. not type of greasiness or anything. It sucks in everything I put on it. I even remember my mother saying that my hair ate up the grease that she used to put in my hair
