I'm just full of questions today after going to the salon. Okay...I am using several product lines such as Silk Elements, ApHogee, ION, Organic Root Stimulator and LustraSilk(conditioners only). My stylist said that I was using too many products. I think she is right. I should stick with one line, but ApHogee doesn't have a intensive deep conditioner(or is this what their 2 minute reconstructor is for?) I just use ION for the ION Clarifying Shampoo, which ApHogee doesn't have either. The SE's fragrance is beginning to agitate my ezcema. I'm thinking about going with the ApHogee line and using the ION Clarifying Shampoo along with the Organic Root Stimulator and LustraSilk(since it contains Jojoba oil) deep conditioners. Ladies, help me out!!

Relaxer is by Johnson & Company.
Con-wash is Suave Milk & Honey
Protein treatment is Aphogee

And of course I take various supplements...........

I use alot too. My shampoos are from design essentials, con, sometimes Keracare and sometimes breakthru by softsheen carson. My conditioners; moisturizing ones I use are ORS Packs, Queen Helene cholesterol, and my new love Aubrey Organics. Protien conditions I like include Aphogee, motions Cpr, Softsheen Duo tex, pantene breakage defense and sometimes elasta qp breakage control serum. Stylings aids I like include ORS Olive oil foam wrap, nexxus mousse, lottabody lotion, elasta qp foam wrap. My mositurizers and oils come from jane carter nourish and shine, bronners brothers growth oil, serum, castor oil lotion, and I sometimes will just use plain coconut oil out of the jar.

I do plan on trying to narrow down brands that I use for financial reasons only. I hope to have success with the rest of the aubrey organics line. I will stick with my design essentials shampoos and jane carter stuff. I am such a PJ I don't ever think I could just pick one line. I will always experiment.

I use different product lines. The only thing I keep the same are poos and conditioners.
Same here. My shampoo and conditioner are from the same line but everything else I use are each from different companies.

I use over 5 different brands but I'm trying to cut it down to a minimum in 2007.
right now i use...
shampoo: CON
Conditioners: Keracare, Aubrey Organics, Nexxus, Giovanni
Moisturizer and Relaxer: ORS
Others: Surge, WGO, Gueye, and different brand oils.

I will drop the Nexxus and maybe the Keracare this coming year.

It would take me too long to try and name what all product lines I use right now.. more than 5 though. :lachen:

I use different lines based on what my hair needs at that time. The only way you're using too much is if it's not working for you. It's common for a shampoo from one line to work bout not their conditioner or leave-in.

You have to use what's best for your hair at that time.

I use wayyyy more than 5 lines. Profectiv, Silk Elements, Garnier Fructis, Herbal Essences, ORS, and Pantene are in heaviest rotation though. When I get over my PJism, I plan on probably narrowing it down to 2 or 3 line though because I really haven't found a line where everything is great and works great with the other stuff.

I know I use more than 5 (Aubrey, Giovanni, ORS, Blended Beauty, Trader Joes, IC Fantasia, Aveda, homemade stuff, etc.). I don't see the need to get down to one line--I have product favs in different lines. The key is not using too many products at the same time, IMO.

I use lots of different lines to meet all of my haircare needs. I use CON poo, Aubrey Organics conditioners, Fantasia IC serums and I have my "specialists" products like Suave Milk & Honey conditioner (original formula), Paul Mitchell The Detanlger, Aphogee 2 min. recon. etc. If you stick to one line, unfortunately you'll be using just one set of ingriedients over and over just re-packaged. I like to have some variety.

I use aphoGee for shampoo, conditerioner, protien, and keratin. I use suave to clarify, and some random other things for growth aids and sealants. I try to keep within the same line for poo and con so that they work the best an that my hair wont have an adverse reaction and fall out

I have four product lines. I'm currently using one.

Aveda Damage Remedy (currently using)
Biosynthesis
Neutrogena Triple Moisture
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny

I'm working on getting down to only two product lines (Aveda Damage Remed and the other one will either be NTM or PM).

I agree with this. I used to be on the one line kick until I figured it just isn't working. I use all sorts of lines and I really am liking the results.

I use a lot of different product lines. Like others have mentioned, the one product line does not work for my hair. I tried it and my hair did not like it. I have to go with what my hair needs at that time. It could range from Straight Arrow's Original Formula Mane-n-Tail Shampoo and Conditioner to KENRA to Aubrey Organics to RUSK to AVEDA Damage Remedy to BIOLAGE to TIGI to V05 conditioners and NEXXUS. And do not let me forget about ORS and LeKair plus the additional organic health food and vitamin store finds. What I learned from hairboards is that you have to respond to your hair needs and for me that means taking action with the product that will do the best job for what my hair needs at that time.

I would love to just have one shampoo, one conditioner and one leave-in but that does not work for me. :nono:
