LHCF SUMMER 2007 - WHAT ARE YOUR SUMMER HAIR GOALS?

Okay....the first day of summer technically isn't until June 21st...but Memorial Weekend is the "unofficial" kick off of summer....

Many look forward to summer as it puts everybody on a more even footing in terms of warm weather and what we can do with our hair as opposed to other times in the year.

Andddd...looking forward to the infamous "Summer Spurt of Hair Growth"

I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the warmer weather to:
  • Do more condition washes
  • Step up the water consumption (I've been slipping again)
  • Step up the workouts (stimulation good for hair growth)
  • See if I can thicken up this hair of mine a little bit more, hoping the CW's will help with that
  • See if I can retain at least an inch over the next 3 months (I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a lot for me:ohwell: )
Sooooooooooooo....what are YOUR Summer '07 goals??

*Mo puts down three pitchers of Lipton Iced Tea (was on sale) and some Nilla Wafers (also on sale) on the table. Help yourself and share your goals. :p

My summer goals are to stay up with the baggy challenge it is really helping my hair. Wash my hair every 3 days and DC. I want to learn more about using henna and make my own sulfar mix. On a health tip I want to stick with working out 4x's a week regardless of my travel schedule and fit in at least 1 Master Cleanse (7day) per month.

Im gonna drink more water, and give my hair as much TLC as possible.:)

Great thread, Mona.:p

I want the back of my hair to be shoulder length stretched by September. Right now it's neck length in the back, chin length on the sides and a little past my nose in the front. I'd also like to be able to wear my natural hair in a pony puff without needing my phony puff but I think that's gonna take a bit longer. :ohwell:

For me, I will continue to do regular protein treats. My hair likes this.

Sell all of these products that I don't use and keep ONLY the tried and true. (this is gonna be hard).

Stay up on my water game.

1/8th-1/6th inch trims every relaxer.

Stay gentle on detangling (this is gonna be hard too)

And treat my hair like a newborn baby!

My hair goals for this summer are:

*Continue stretching (I don't plan on relaxing again until October)
*Increase Co-washes to 3-4 times/week
*Wash & DC once weekly
*Continue bunning until mid July (I will be getting a braided up-do for my friend's wedding)
*Stay away from the scissors
*Workout 4 days a week & increase water intake
*Henna, henna, henna

That is all!

Kids Shea was wiggity wack for my hair, and surge just from reading the ingredients I don't think it will work for my hair.

Biolage Leave-in Toni is really good to me tho. It's ME being a monster when it's time for detangling. I want the comb to just gilde through and I know it won't do that especially with these 50-11 textures I got going on. I get crazy!:(

Low manipulation and weekly deep conditioning treatments

I also won't be brushing whatsover anymore-unless I have to.

Finally- on a weekly basis I am trying out Sylver's way of washing and scarf method. Although she is relaxed-her new growth stayed flat w/her way of doing things. I'm hoping I can do waht she does so my hair can lay down a little bit (no need for brushing)

Hmmm,

My summer hair goals/plans...

-drink more agua
-eat healthier- more protein
-exercise at least 3 times a week
-wear more braidouts. My next relaxer should be August 17 but who know if I'll do that.
-less heat to retain more growth

My summer goal is no heat in my hair. I'll be sporting all natural. Man I hope I can do it and not feel self-conscious:look: .

My goal is to stretch for the entire summer. I'll be braided up and I'm hoping to retain a ton of length. My other goal is just be healthy via exercising everyday, keep up with vitamin intake and eat clean.

My goal is just to just for my hair to grow a couple more inches and remain at it's thickness, it would be great if it could get thicker but that just may be wishful thinking .
Going to stick with the same regimen....
