It is called Everyday henna.

http://www.everydayhenna.com

They seem to offer really good hennas. Just click on the word herbal in the upper part of screen and click hennaed hair FAQs.

There is a section on Henna and African American hair.

She states that most problems stemming from using henna on our hair is that we have relaxers (lye) and use products in our hair that clash with the henna. She also reiterates again and again to do a hair harvest and test the henna before application. She says that there is no reason why henna should work differently on our hair . (We are the first to use henna in our hair anyway.) Hair is hair. The best way to wear henna is to have natural hair that way, you don't wrisk a chance of any dry, strawlike feel or funny colors.

But she really gets into it. I will purchase from the site soon.

I used Henna, once when my hair was natural and I found it very drying. Funny enough, it seemed to work quite well, when my hair was relaxed.
