I just wanted to share three tutorials that have helped me in styling my natural 4a hair. With many naturals unsure of how to move forward past the TWA phase (I was in this state for awhile myself) seeing how-to's can be a big help.

Two Strand Twist Tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qASlum8a8hw

Flat Twist Tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Basc64Kpbw

Bantu Knot Tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxqpLuCqP1U

Be sure to check out Motown Girl's site as well, as she offers nice tutorials as well as tips on how to care for natural hair.

thanks! I'm still trying to master cornrows but I'd like to try flat twists soon. My cornrows aren't fit to wear in public yet but I'm still trying.

I'd really like to buy the braids by breslin dvds but I want to see if I can learn on my own first.

Braids are one of those styles that I am having the hardest time mastering. I wouldn't mind getting them done professionally, but I'm majorly worried about the braider destroying my hair.

Me too. The last time I went to a braider she insisted on blowdrying my hair because it be easier for her to braid.
The last braider I had loved my hair and said it was easier for her to braid nappier hair types. I should have stuck with her.

I want to learn how to do kinky twists with extensions really badly.

This a great post for the natural newbies. It's great that there are all these resources now available
