On break
After reading through the thread "How Satan Stops Our Prayers," I felt it would be right to share the recent four-part sermon series that is truly helping my prayer life.
"Teach them how to pray" was a point of departure in that thread. I thought to myself . . . I should link the sermon series I just finished that was all about learning from Jesus how to pray.

About the sermon series
So, the sermon series is a deep look at what is called the Lord's Prayer, when Jesus is teaching on how to pray.
Matthew 6:9-13 New International Version (NIV)
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.’
The sermon goes into the meaning of this prayer and what it looks like in our lives. For example, "kingdom" in the prayer above has a specific meaning/usage (it might not be what you think). Knowing the meaning/usage makes a difference!
This series is absolutely worth your time, IMO, even if you've been praying and/or hearing about prayer for decades and decades (hand raised! ). If you are anything like me, you've heard so many sermons and lessons and bible classes on prayer! Yeah: My attitude was kind of "meh" when I learned what this series was going to be about: More on prayer, huh?
But the series surprised me, in that I wasn't expecting it to help me and affect my prayer life the way it has.
I don't know how long the links to the sermons will work, but they should be good for a while.
Blessings, all!

ASIDE:
I almost didn't click on the "How Satan Stops Our Prayers" thread (I'm not into that type of topic, usually), but I did get a lot out of it, whether it was an analogy or not.
