Product build up or dandruff?

I was instructed to us Dudleys moisturizing shampoo and Rebuilder to get my hair back to its state before my twists.
Ive noticed that my scalp feels dirty and I have to spend time while washing with my brush trying to clean it.
I put Top Brass on my scalp thinking it was dandruff but it still persists.
Do you think its build up or is it dandruff?

I can't tell unless actually looking at it.

Why don't you try a clarifying shampoo and see how it goes?

Would I use the clarifying shampoo before the dudleys stuff or after?

Please tell me what type of product Rebuilder is (i.e. conditioner).

For my hair, I would shampoo with clarifying shampoo and condition with a good detangling conditioner. Then I would add my styling product. BTW, I don't put anything on my scalp.

For my hair, I do get a lot of product build up because I use a lot of product in between shampooing.

Its Dudleys "Rebuilder" conditioner.
The shampoo is just called Moisturizing Shampoo.

I have to put stuff on my scalp or else it looks like I have vitiligo at points.
