"Selfstyled" i need yr help!!! (Or anyone else of course)

I just bought some 7" curly Weave hair & want to know how i can make my own Phony Pony with it.
I've recently stopped attaching drawstring ponies, as they pull on my hair too much.
(I don't really want to be fussing with using the needle & thread technique). So does anyone know how else to attach the hair securely in the safest way possible, as not to damage my own hair?
Or know of any youtube tutorials you could link me to that would help?

The mane clip looks good, but as i only want a short ponytail it may not be suitable as the barette part could look bulky when used with a small amount of hair.
I might look into getting one for times when i want to use longer hair though.

Those links were very very helpful.......there are some real creative ladies on this forum bwoy!

Sleek ponytail Tutorial using Track hair

Just found this tutorial on youtube, for anyone who's interested.
What i thought was good, is she doesn't sew the hair in or use a drawstring.
Not sure how secure it'd be, but i suppose you could also wrap a scarf around it or use a wide scrunchie or knee hi or whatever.
