hi, as some of already know i am new to this site, i was wondering if it would b ok to use shea butter on the scalp, i read that it stimulates hair growth. i have the natural unrefined type because my aunt sent it straight from Ghana, i have jus started using a regime for about a month now, there is noticable new growth but my next touch up will tell how much my hair has really grown. but to answer my question which would be better shea butter or ors carrot oil? thanx in advance, u lot really help a sista out!

I understand that shea butter is very good for both hair and scalp. I believe that if it works for you, use it.

What you discover over time, through trial and error, what works for your hair and what does not.

I tried shea butte on thes calp; did not do much for me. I read somewhere shea butter is more pliable if you melt it down a bit in the microwave. I just found it too stiff to work with as a scalp conditioner.

Good luck!
