I love wedges. I was in Neiman's the other day looking for a nice pair of shoes for work. Something that would look nice with trousers. I tried on these by Christian Louboutin.:

No matter how much I like them, they are out of the budget at this time. I've already made my shoe splurge for the season with a nice pair of leather boots. Well, I found an almost identical pair by Steven Madden.

I've never worn Steve Madden shoes before....just wondering if they make good quality shoes (for the money)?

I found a photo this morning of Nicole Ritchie wearing these shoes...probably the Louboutin.

Steve Madden shoes are decent quality. Not great, but definitely not terrible. I actually like the Steve Madden ones you bought better than the CL ones. I like the darker wood heel on them.

Steve Maddens are made well from my experiences with them. I think they are priced fairly well for the trendy style and quality of the brand.

now on to the shoes. I think they are both cute, definately the SM ones are a better buy in my eyes because I can't fathom spending $600 on shoes at this point in my life.

But I think if you are going to shell out the dough for a pair of CL you should go for a more classic style and head over to SM for the trendier pieces.

Steve Maddens are great! They duplicate high fashion shoes for reasonable prices. I've never had a pair fall apart or anything. I can't say that for some other brands... (Baker's shoes are cheap!! :swearing: They want too much $ for them to be falling apart after a few good wears) It's funny because Steve Madden knocks off high fashion shoes, and then cheaper brands knock off Steve Maddens and they look like crap. You can tell the difference in the quality. I love my SMs!
