I haven't listened to the episode but usually when people refer to the wellness industry they aren't talking about traditional medicine hence the reference to Nazis co-opting yoga.
That is correct. This is not the first time Yamilee is trying to tie the holistic industry to nazis, white supremacists etc. I don't care. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. Period.

At this point I take people being well enough to talk mess as a victory. Covid vaccine free, healthy and thriving... keep thriving. Covid-19 vaccinated, thriving without serious health issues...keep thriving. For anyone on either side who hasn't needed urgent care or hospitalization since your shots, or rejection of the covid shots...please, stay healthy. Staying alive and well enough to talk your ish or simply enjoy your well-being from outside of a medical facility is strongly encouraged from ol Lylddlebit lol.

I feel like this duration is going to increase over the coming years. Didn't we start at 4 to 6 months...?
Well the government won’t be handing out vaccines like candy anymore, even though they were paid for using taxpayer money. We will now have to pay for them directly in the US. There is no free healthcare and those vaccines are expensive.

I still wear my mask and practice social distancing. People are nasty and just don’t care about the health and wellbeing of the community. There were a bunch of sick kids in the store yesterday coughing and snot all over their faces. I know of two people that are sick right now with Covid.

Dh and I basically stopped wearing masks and I have a stockpile of n95s and kn95s. My kids still wear them to school but ds is getting comfortable not wearing one I see. DD said a lot of her classmates were sick last week coughing and missing school days. So it's basically still going around. I still wear masks when I fly.

We’re on a road trip along the east coast right now; I have not seen anyone besides us wearing masks indoors since we left NewYork. I’ve also seen and heard a whole lot of coughing, sneezing, etc. … people aren’t even bothering to cough into their elbows, etc. People really are nasty - with a vengeance!

I know some people who have caught it in the last 2 months: 2 brand new, 1 reinfection that I know of the rest unknown.
One now has a nasty bug that isnt covid but is awful. The reinfection is less than a year for the other one smh.
I wear my mask in appropriate settings. I went to work, people were open mouth coughing and sneezing, maskless... 1 by 1 I'm hearing people are out sick.
I just smh.

2023 has been the year of my household reintegrating into society. So far so good, but we are sho'nuff taking another pause and reevaluating things beginning May 11(or whatever the final emergency end date is)...just in case.

We are starting to reintergrate this year, as well. We are still masking everywhere but we're starting to let the kids join more activities. We've been virtual schooling this whole time and I don't want them to be overwhelmed when I send them back in September. We've been lucky that the worst we've had to deal with in the three years are headaches and the one time my kid got Lego stuck in his ear.

Yes, it's like humans evolved backwards. I regularly see people just coughing and sneezing without covering their mouths :nono: Nasty.

DH, myself, and my family still wear masks when we're out. I hear people sneezing and coughing and I cringe. Nasty indeed. We did go to a birthday party and one of the couples there was talking about how they just got over COVID-19. Just today DH and I ate lunch at a restaurant outside and the two people at the table next to ours were talking about how they just had COVID-19. A friend of mine was supposed to come to our area this weekend for a family visit. She's not coming now because she has COVID-19 for the second time. She's a nurse.

My assistant got the Covids. She said she likely got it at the gym.
I go to the gym early in the morning and wear a mask if anyone is in there because I don't want to catch it.

I know someone who hasn't worn a mask since they dropped the mandate, has the most reckless behavior: rides the public transportation maskless, has been in folks homes during all of the waves, is in the gym 5 days a week again maskless... they haven't had covid. They were really sick last year and claimed they tested and it wasn't covid. I think they lied.

And don't forget that some of those tests weren't showing certain strains...so who knows....
