Hi Everyone,
I thought it would be great if we could have one thread where we share Curlformers tips, pics, etc. And ask questions too!
I've been using Curlformers for 4 months now and I love them. I don't have any pics of my hair with CF (sorry!) but I've done a lot of research. Below are my tips with a few links to some great YT tutorials.
Post your tips! Looking forward to seeing what other members have learned! TIA!
Catgurl's Curlformers Tips
1. Research first! Watch YT tutorials, you will save time and hair.
2. Section hair and detangle thoroughly! It will go faster in the long run.
3. Twisting each section at root makes it easier to keep hair on hook, but it should be a single twist close to scalp only. Hair should NOT go into curlformer twisted.
4. If you work from nape forward (as stated in directions) make sure you have plenty of curlformers for your hair!
5. Naturals, one set will not be enough (most likely)! (I need minimum 46 long&wide).
6. Gel or setting lotion will make curls last longer.
7. After removing, Rake with fingers or wide tooth comb to separate curls for a more natural look.
8. If it pulls, hurts, tugs YOU ARE NOT DOING IT RIGHT. Stop and go back to tip no. 1
